From the pic is that a 5 port p/s: Or is that something new.
And the crank does show weights:
http://www.novarossi.com/img/product.../08675_300.jpg
Sleeve: The sleeve has 3 transfer ports and an exhaust with booster ports. The special shape and positioning of the ports, covered by a patent, improve the internal fluid-dynamics to obtain the maximum possible performance.
http://www.novarossi.com/img/product.../85012_100.jpg
Crankshaft: The crankshaft is grinded to increase the mixture flow and has a special shape to reduce turbulences inside the crankcase. The balancing is done by two inserts made of tungsten alloy and the inlet has a silicon filling to reduce the weight of the crankshaft to improve acceleration. The ball bearing was lowered to5mm. The front part was extended to improve the seal against fuel leaking.

yeah the sleeve is probably the wrong picture, but the text for the crank is very specific so i expect it to be similiar to the picture, if it doesnt have the weights and silicon and whatever, then i will have to wonder just what exactly i am paying for... for 500 dollars i would be happy with a factory modified nova and a crap engine, but a 3sct with a smaller bearing and two tiny holes in the sleeve and a crap engine? no thanks.

And from the parts list this P/S is gonna be expensive because you will have to buy the whole button assy, P/S/AND BUTTON.

hi randay,
this is what you become from novarossi

M7H 04-26-2007 01:45 AM

I notified the webdesigner from Novarossi about the aparently wrong info on there website....
He is also a member on this forum, but I will not tell who he is..... :sneaky:

At the moment the website is undergoing a complete makeover, so the ".it" website will come available again after the ".com" website is finished....

Due to this makeover, I reckon they made a mistake with the pictures on the site.......

4racer 04-26-2007 02:32 AM

hi m7h,
read the post to the cranck of the 353, i think it is not a mistake.
the pic ist the right, the text is ok to this pic.

The pictures on the website are different from what you posted in your previous post about what really is in the box!....
I see no "tungsten" and also those "booster" ports are not there... (but it is difficult to see in your picture, so I could be wrong)
Grinder posted a picture, with no booster ports, but 2 additional small holes under the main intake port....

According to me "booster" ports are also not IFMAR legal....

engine would be worht more sold for whatever you can get for it then as a paper weight or at the local trash depot

The sleeve has different timing. The boost port is much larger on the 353. The exhaust port is a different shape slightly..Similar to the new batch of +12 engines. The transfers have also been reshaped slightly similar to the new batch of +12's. The crankshaft is basically the same as the +12, but the crankpin is smaller. You must use the new connecting rods with the new engines. 353, and 359. The piston is cast in the 353. The case of the 353 no longer has the wing shaped transfer port seperators. The backplate of the 353 has a steel insert to avoid scratches and extend engine life. The stock engine is smoother, faster, and cooler running than the past +12 engines from Novarossi. The modified version has similar characteristics, just more overall power. :D I will be pounding the mod 353 at 301 this weekend. Stay tuned to see how it runs over the long haul. :tire:

Well thats not so bad I guess. All thats missing really is the tungsten weights.

From what murnan has said it is the fastest yet, and if it is the fastest yet, I really cant complain. I guess the problem is seeing all the pretty pictures and getting something else in reality.

Just like the pretty pictures of hamburgers when you go to McDonald's only to find out they don't look the same when you get them :D but it's still good stuff :D *humor only*

The engine is not even listed in the catalog: It is just supposed to be a club engine!!

today we did try this motor run it in in heat 3 and race in the finale on a NT1.
absolute a very good motor to race, 3rd place in the A finale with all the topshot guys with Mega's and Max's only 0.2sec slower.

(Mach circuit link )

Next race we will try the Bomb very curious what will happen ;)

4racer 04-29-2007 01:02 PM

wow,
that must be the hammer engine, even fast as the plus 2.
