yes of course that is obvious. you will surely make sure that it is ok to race it, and because i like to go easy on break-in i would continiou breaking in the engine, better safe than sorry....

Just got the 367 from rc-toro.com. I am currently using it with 9886, but there seems to be not much torque at the low end compared to my OS Vspec. What pipe should I get to bring the torque out? thanks in advance

Ok I have seen this on here before but can't find it anywhere so here it is again. On the 12 3sct what does the s, c, and the t mean?
|
haha i just worked this out when i was buying my Sct
the S is silicon ramp in the crank shaft the C is Ceramic Rear Bearing and the T is a tuned crankshaft now if you get the Tuned version it has some modding done to the sleeve i believe. there are different combinations if you look on the Novarossi website i think its the ST which has the silicon and the tuned crankshaft the SC which has the Silicon and the Ceramic bearing or the SCT which has the Silicon and the Ceramic and the Tuned crankshaft. hope this helps |

Yes but it is wise to start slowly to feel if the engine is ready to race or does need some tanks more with easy driving.

Quote from the Novarossi Website "The engines with a Pre-Run treatment are ready to win your race with, they have ran 30 minutes on our in-house engine bench with more oil and less nitro in the fuel." now i would say there 30min of running in isnt enough to go and hammer the engine, i believe it is just used to reduce the time it takes, cause i just put about a 1L of fuel through my 3SCT tuned and its still has heaps of pinch at TDC and it took over an hour to put 1L through it. From what i can understand this 30min would be the time used to idle it so you can start running it round on a track on rich settings. but that is what i am interpreting from there website. Yep it helps, I couldn't remember what the s was.

The Novarossi 12-SCT is the only Nova based engine which has a 11.9mm crankshaft. All the other new Nova based engines, RB R3 RC, JP Eagle, MAX XXL3 all have 11.5mm crankshafts. Difference between the "T" and not "T" "T": http://www.novarossi.com/img/img_pro...x300/85607.jpg Not "T": http://www.novarossi.com/img/img_pro...x300/85606.jpg |
And the 353 race.12 has 11.9mm crankshaft
regards Aaron |
o my mistake, sorry about that, i was just going by looks of the pics on the Novarossi website.com
|
Whats the best pipe for the 353?
|
(edit: i got the fins the wrong way around :))
the 2630 with a 7 fin header would be killer. but it depends on what your track is like if it is small and twisty with a shortish straights i would say the 2630 with the 7 fin header but if its long and flowing with long straights i would say the 2630 with a 5 fin header Mitchell |
