I just bought this M12 and I'm not sure how the flywheel and clutch set-up is supposed to go on the crank shaft, the crank seems to have an extention or something on it as you can see in the pics, I just dont see how a flywheel can be bolted on to it, can someone help please. Thanks,

Go get a refund mate.
Thats looks like a threaded type crank shaft with an adaptor of some type on there:weird: I cant see it working |
Either it is a cheap fix to a broken crank, or a weird modification...
I would return it, otherwise you would need to source a M12 crank which wouldn't be worth it. |
Ok, thanks, I only paid $15 for it, so I guess its not that bad, sucks because O.S Rocket just pinched it and you would think that he would have said something.

I used to have an Mugen MT-12 that had an SG adaptor so it would fit on my MTX-3... But I dont see that crankshaft having the thread for the centax clutch, so I dunno.

So, what is a centax clutch? The crank is a 2 piece, it doesnt look like it was ever broken and fixed. The end of the crank has a hex end and the front half unscrews from the rest of the crank, when you take the front piece off, the hole where it threads into seems to be smooth and clean like it came that way from the factory.

It's a standard shaft crank that someone has put some oddball thing into. The standard cranks were two piece back then.
If you need a standard shaft crank you can get a bolt the right size to thread into the crank and then cut off to length. |
Thanks wingracer:nod:

And if you need to fix a Centax clutch you can search for a special adapter which is delivered with the HPI R40

What is the Nova part number for the spring that connects the exhaust pipe to the manifold, 2630 to nova 6 fin conical? The only spring I could find was part #60004 and they are shorter than the ones I got with the manifold...

OK I have a quick question you guy's, I am currently usin g the NS12 TS1 with a 2630 pipe and the short manifold. I am able to get just over 5-6 mins run time with this combo but I am wondering what pipe I would go with that would help to get better fuel consumption out of my engine??

use the RB 2604
This will give better fuel consumption? how will this effect the power? Thanks Sean |
the 2602 has great runtime. With the 2602 mani and pipe , max, I got at least 1:30 mins more runtime over 2630 with med conical mani, the race director said 'track closed' so I didn't get to go past 6:30 but I had fuel left
