Ninja Engine by GRP

Aren't the Ninja's coming with a pipe and header though? 3 bills and some change is a good deal. My .21 is a great engine with no problems what so ever and it's super fast
. Anyone know when the bearing puller, dismantler will be available?

When the MR 12 was announced last year a lot of hobby shops over here had them listed for € 220, when a NR .12 was around € 320.
Now, things are looking a bit different. The Ninjas went up to €280
and the Novas down to €290
, so the difference is neglectable.

Personally I was waiting for the MR12 to become available to try one, but now with the little price difference, I will get the new NR Plus 12 and wait how the Ninjas will perform on the tracks, just because NR is a known factor while Ninja is not.
While all this is happening I think Picco has become the most serious competitor in the .12 field, since they got their conrod issues worked out (took 'em long enough) When it comes to Power / Price ratio, Picco based engines are really hard to beat right now.

When I look around at US shops, the difference between NR and Ninja .12's is also 20-30 bucks, not that much, right?
Btw, I just found the Plus 12-3 for €269, which is actually cheaper than the MR12.
NR Plus 12-3
When I lived in the States it was the distributors that messed up the prices for engines, especially Trinity when they had the monopoly.
I know that the European importer have been putting pressure on NR and it seems to have an effect.

You need to look a little harder at your prices!

Ive been looking at different U.S. sites and the +12ct is $50 more on average when compared to the Ninja.
If you are comparing prices from one shop to another then thats a different story.
If you look at the online price at Kamikaze for example the ninja engine+pipe combo is only $10 more than the nova engine.

I just don't know how the Ninja .12 will run with the combo vs buying aftermarket pipes and using them instead. I'm happy with my current engine for now until it goes out on me. I'm not a serious competitive racer so I am not in dire need of having multiple engines around to play with.

You don't have to be a "serious competitor" to have more than one engine, but it does help to have another car to test them in, so you can race with your primary car and play with the second one. Plus, having a backup engine is not such a bad idea.

don't know about HP, but got mine broke in tonight using the Swager method. It took a while, but not as long as I thought it would.. It was hard to get the engine temp up, even with 85deg weather. I got very cool temps. engine is still squeeky when turned over.
