What about the .28? Im running the .21 and its pretty friggen quick, so the .28 should be that plus some. I see a few websites have them, but are listed out of stock (the .28) is it because they sold out or because they are waiting on the first shipment?
Yeah, Ive tried contacting the online shops, no replys though.
Thanks for info.

What restrictor is in the Ninja .21 on-road engine? Do they make smaller sized ones for this engine? I am just wondering if I can't make time with this engine again when I go out next year, I maybe better off putting a restrictor in for the qualifiers and switching back in the mains.
I think that it might be better to just make time in the qualifiers and be alittle bit slower then coming in for a splash. Or would it be better to switch to 20% fuel? Any thoughts???

Yep, they make a 9mm (the max permitted) and a 8mm, 7.5mm (Stock on the Off-Road) and 7mm (AFAIK).
Don't stress yourself with this, the 8.5mm makes a lot of runtime (in fact, all the people I've seen makes easily 6minutes with the 8.5mm). Some time ago tried a 8mm restrictor and the carb adjustment was somewhat difficult, because the LSN was too rich and you had very little margin of adjustment going from too rich to too lean. On those moments missed to have a third needle to get more control on the LSN.

Planning to test the 9mm another time, last tests I did hurt the runtime without so much additional power. Maybe it needs further adjustment.
Better to not mess with different fuels for qualifiers and mains, stick to a fuel and work with it to suit your needs. Go with a 25 or 30% nitro and you will not be dissapointed.
What kind of pipe you plan to use? If you don't have one, get the ninja pipe and the short manifold.
BTW: Check your combustion chamber height before starting the engine!!! Look on the previous posts what happened to someone who didn't checked it.

I have the JP EFRA pipe not sure of the number. I checked the top of the piston and it looks good. I put the extra shim in just to be safe.
We have a big flowing track. What is the better length pipe short or long?

Regarding adding shims. I use it with a 25% Nitro and needed to add 0.2mm of shims to get the correct combustion chamber, maybe and depending you run and the fuel you use with only one shim, you're going short on chamber height (seemed to read here that guys going to 30% Nitro added 0.3mm.

Whats up Doc??? You can get the manifolds from Bruckner Hobbies. We have a couple of the Novarossi ones, and the actual Ninja manifolds. I am running a Ninja, and I use the Novarossi manifolds. The Ninja are good, I already had the other ones, and did not see a need to change.

It would be nice if one or more of the guys that ran the .12 at the IFMAR Worlds would share their experience with the engine - especially clutch settings, gearing and powerband. How does it compare to some of the other engines you guys have been running?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Mike you want the medium manifold, thats what Swauger is he best and he used it when he was here, and yes we have them.
