Monty I got a lil over 1400 cc on my 3 port. I know it is not ready for a hard tune but would it hurt to wake her up a lil more when I get it on the track? Last weekend I had to really work at getting it to 205f.When I say hard time I had to lean the top almost a turn and a half and I know for sure the low an entire turn to get it to run. It was rather cool last weekend but I was also using my engine heater as well. That is why I am asking if it is ready to wake it up some.

I won't push it...but in order to get it to run and stay running that is what I had to do...of course I will readjust the next time I start it...actually as a matter of fact I may go back half of what I did as a starting point. like you I really don't like rushing break in...but when it was on the ground it was smoking like a train and was spitting ALOT of oil also but even at the rich settings it was peppy...I can tell it will be a screamer when it comes in.

gotcha...even with where I was running it looked like the hsn was half a hair out of the hsn houseing..you can run yer finger across it and feel the head of the screw head sticking out "SLIGHTLY" out of the houseing.

Very happy with the performance of my Fusion X3 race edition with a few of monty's tricks. Very easy to tune, held very smooth idle forever, no flame outs, and has awesome power. Great buggy engine ran it in my 8ight 2.0 with a 2013 pipe. Was getting good runtime and only about a gallon through it. Cant wait to get outside and run on the big outdoor tracks. This was only my second time running on indoor clay.

Best engine I have ran, looking forward to spring.

Raced the HES X3 with the 2096/21 yesterday Monty, definate improvement with power and run times over the 9901/21. Ran great all day (except for a fuel pressure line problem which was my falt), after practice in the morning I didnt have to touch it all day, holds a tune real well. Up to about 5ltrs with the engine.

If anyone is thinking of getting one of the engines, dont think just do it!

The X7 Extreme did me real good this weekend. Sooo much power and I used all of it. LoL. In the Amain I bent a front shock shaft though. So my race didn't go well. But I did make it to the 10 minute mark for my first fuel stop before breaking.

Get this. The qualifiers were 10 minutes. But not a problem for the X7 this weekend. Uber fast and great on mileage. What else could I ask for? Thanx again Monty.

Wish I could buy one engine every month so I would have these for years to come. This one has been going strong since spring of 2011. Didn't race in December but have raced at least one 3-day event each month. Placing well and loving it. Hopefully this summer I can order one or two more.

Later
