did you call customs Neal?

usually there is no problem...however sometimes there seems to be delays at customs with no explanation...For us shipping out we have the system dialed, but sometimes engines coming in can have additional charges applied depending on the insured value declared by the shipper....

Do you guys have a number to call and ask about packages in customs?

Its almost pointless.... I have tried in the past but I got nowhere and wasted a pile of time and frustration...

You will probably be getting the offical customs ransom letter
some time next week. I wish I would have known about this
years ago, I would have shipped my x-wife and refused to
pay the duties. Sure would have saved me money in the long
run.

dont even waste your time.. its here... we know that ... so all we can do is wait... sometimes the best way to ship is fedex or ups if you want stuff in a timely manner.. but that is expensive.. if i get it by wednesday.. and the weather is good.. there is a high possibility that i can still break it in in time... but if not.. i got plenty of motors to use

I had the same hastle with customs when we shipped with
UPS also. The only way around all the mess is to declare the
value of the package as next to nothing. If the engine is in
the orignial package, you may even want to scratch off the
point of origin from the labeling. I think there may have been
some kinda problem like that with the UPS shipped package.

Sent some camshafts for a dirt bike to the UK about a year ago, they sat in customs for over a month for some reason. No one seemed to have an explanation for it

UPS is great from Canada, not to Canada. I always ship priority mail to there.
