GX5R or GXII HO, for truggy, awsome engines with a 2072 pipe!, the GX5R does well in buggy as well if you have a little finger control.

has alittle less bottom end in truggy, buggy is a little lighter and gives it better low end and tons of top end as well, the GX5R has tons of low end for those heavier truggies, MOTO at NITRO NORTH is a super guy to deal with, just received stuff today from him!

Difference in power is the new motor is smoother bottom and whloe powerband...and has a ton of top....almost like a 7port.......difference in looks, the new motor has a lightened head with finned head button, factory porting on the sleeve, factory epoxy filled and ramped crank and a harder material piston

I'm going to need some help with the new go-II ho. I cleaned it out reassembled/ re-oiled/installed new glow plug/preheated/engine is froze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried to turn over thought it was going to fire right up[sounded like it] I used my snap-on 3/8th drive breaker bar with 8mm socket on it to get it to go around. Thought for sure I lost a c-clip. Taken engine apart nothing,no shavings no c-clip off piston not scored/sleeve great no lost glow plug tip. Only thing I can think of is the front bearing seems notchy in 1 spot but I don't think that would cause engine to lock in place tdc. Or is it that the engine is just that tight? any one have any trouble? I am going to put it all back together and try again.

my GX5R did that, just have to pre-heat to higher temp. i even had to put a
6S lipo in my starter box to get it to turn over!

Your not getting it hot enough before starting it....I had that problem once with the gx5r and never had it again....make sure its at least 200f....I didn't have any issues with the gxii pston and sleeve that I broke in yesterday....just made sure it was over 200f everytime it was fired up

Greatest thing for nitro engines since.........................well since nitro engines.

I know a guy that sells them.

It's been said he's a little goofy though.

I love my Competition heat but it doesn't get a motor hot enough for break in in my opinion. On a tight motor I get it up to 240 degrees or so at the head and about 180 at the block witha heat gun.

I am getting a GxII from Trey to try out.
