Yeh that was massive adjustment with low speed needle but if i didnt have it in that far i would not idle and just cut out when hitting throttle it was like a new motor setting just choking up it was that rich until i got to 3 turns in, i ran a full tank out once i got it to run ok [still a little rich on bottom] just because the most i would usually have to turn in would be 1.5 turns max from flush and seem to run ok didnt lean out if anything got richer, i tune my motor exactly like you posted hsn was just under flush idle gap was set by pinch test [first] then set lsn last but i think the compresion would be getting low as it only holds it weight on its side [without pipe] for a few seconds then drops, i think i might have to send it up to you and you can check it out and if you think it would be ok give it a pinch as no point gettin new psr as i am wanting the GXII-5RHO
in a couple of months anyway and would just keep this for a backup engine [got to wait a couple of months to keep mum happy]
Cheers man, yeh once it was tuned it was good well good enough to get me threw the main anyway its once it cooled down and restarted it was a differant tune.

ran it today for a while just to finish up break in process, needles are real close to 2 to 3 hours in on high speed needle and low speed is 1 and a smigit turn in from flush, engine running really good ton of power and plenty of smoke. i thing i might take break in shim out tomorrow and check conrod, first big race is may 7th!

Something funky going on there Speed Demin. I canīt see it being an air leak if itīs running that rich and needed the lsn screwing in 3 turns. That would only make an air leak worse (leaner). If it was leaking air it would be machine gunning like crazy, not bogging down like that.
If you like, post the motor up to me fully assembled. I will strip it down bit by bit and check it out. I will get the Guru (Craig Underwood) to give it a pinch. Will put it back together and see if we can get it sorted. Hopefully you will then be able to get a few more months out of it. Got to keep mum happy eh

Hey Shane
I am looking at working at getting my GX11-5RHO broke in this weekend,
I am going to be using Odonnell 97T plugs, and 25% pure fuel is this a good mix or should I change to 30% as I see you recomend 77T plugs for 25% nitro.
I have a lot of 97T plugs so I want to use them up. I also have RB #6 plugs
Should I use up my 25% and change to 30% Pure?
Also do you have any more motor pipe combos left as I want to get another as a spare. (I want to get a Truggy eventually)
Cheers

30% will give you a bit more snap and crisp response, but your run time will drop a little on the higher percentage fuel. 25% is plenty for racing, but if you want maxiumum power, then 30% would be the go.
Use up the 25% for break in as it will be a little easier on the motor when it is brand new and really tight. Good to see your using the good fuel there mate

I have combo kits in stock, with more on the way. If you want I will put one aside for you. Just let me know when you want it. Shane.
