Well, some how I already foreseen which direction it was going to go. I'm not holding my breath I've seen what a-main has done with other product lines in the past and their track records not too promising.
It's too bad Trey you didn't have enough time cause at least you cared about the line and the customers

As far as one oil hole vs. two, I can't recall seeing one with two oil holes, but my stock of GO rods is depleted.
I'm sure Shane (Grizz) will speak to this.
Thanks M8, that is about exactly the kind of answer I was looking for.
This con rod came with the engine when new.
Engine was #US0000084 and came with 2-needle carb with short needle.

Obviously this goes to show that replacing the conrod after breaking in the engine, is a clear necessity so people who don't do that are taking a big risk?

So it doesn't matter that the original conrod had two oil holes in the top bearing? I was thinking it might lead to better lubrication. The bearings are in the exact same spot if you lay the new conrod ontop of the old conrod, but the old conrod was shaped slightly differently and it seems like the bronze bushing part of the conrod on the old one was slightly bigger in outer diameter. Odd?
Anyhow, the new one is in the engine now

IMHO, I think AMain selling the Go engines was a one time clearance deal and they are not going to sell or distribute in the future. Looking on their "Upcoming Products", no Go engines are shown out to 08/2012.

We are back in stock of the GXII down here in NZ so the new stock must be close, i'd be surprised if they don't restock.

Thing is, they never stocked them. What they sold was stock from the outgoing distributor.

Would be a shame for you guys in the US if A-Main didn't stick with the GO line.

I see where nitroexpress is coming from, but I did hear that GO had signed up A-Main as the new US distributor - guess it's a wait and see game.
There was a hold up with the new 3 needle carb production, so maybe that's slowed their stock replacement program ?
Also their orders would be huge compared to most, so production time would be longer.

We just got our latest order of new GXII's with the upgraded 3 needle carbs in on Tuesday, so if they are coming your way they won't be far away now.

If they definitely are not going to be stocking GO products, and there is no replacement distributor, I guess you can always get motors and spares from us down here.
With our exchange rate vs the $US the pricing would be good for you guys, even including postage. Our current price for a new GXII-5RHO with the upgraded 3 needle carb would equate to US$199.95 at todays rate, plus say $US16 shipping.

Food for thought if it does all go pear shaped for you guys.

That my friend depends on a thousnad and one things

Anywhere between 7 min and 10 1/2 minutes depending on - a thousand and one things. Mostly tuning expertise and driver smoothness.
There is no set answer.

Agreed. All on the same exact motor and pipe (GXII5RHO+GO2072) and large track, I get the following depending on tires, track condition, tuning, clutch, etc.
Truggy: 9m30sec-11min30sec
Buggy: 7min30sec-10min30sec

If i may make a suggestion on the basic settings on the carb

generally if you have both HSN and LSN at flush, then turn the LSN in 1/2 a turn. that should get you into a base setting. Please understand that pipe , plug , filter and fuel will alter these settings , sometimes drastically so dont be put iff if they are out. This is a base setting to kick off the engine tuning.

cheers mm
