Just curios if any one else has this issue. I have two GXII HO's one in my buggy and one in my truggy. The middle cooling on both engines fell off @ the two gallon mark. Normal or Weird?? Other than that I am digging the motors.

same thing happened to me today. I made sure it was warm then i used a flat head screw driver to turn the flywheel. Then kept at it. It happened a few times but then, she woke up. She ran through a good ten flawless tanks after that slowly leaning the bottom. I have a good feeling about this motor so far.

when pre-heating your engine with a heat gun or a hair dryer you can't tell how warm the internals are, 200f on the outside 100f on the inside, put your hand under the chassis were the engine mounts are & if u feel it warming up your getting close to trouble free starting.

If it's really tight, loosen the glow plug off by a turn or two to ease the compression as well.
Keep the plug wrench handy, and as soon as it starts nip the plug up pronto.
Once you have a tank or two through it won't be such a beast. That's why we use and recommend the Competition Heat units.
Next to the Hudy bearing tool, the Comp Heat would have to be the most useful thing I have ever purchased as far as tools and accessories for RC racing goes.

I eventually decided to use my 1/10 kyosho starter box (used for on road), I didnt realise I could change the wheel so it suits offroad. Heated up the motor and it started straight away!!!
We then realised my mates starter box wheel was too large and it was hitting the chassis, the kyosho flywheel was smaller and was only hitting the flywheel.

Hi everyone..
so i took advice from a few people.. and re did my fuel deliver for the engine..
and to ad went to one of the practice days at my club.. and like any new buggy i had some kinks to sort out.. mistakes that could of been sorted before hand.. :P and yeah.
the guys at LRRCC are great.. Dragon and kevin and others helped sort out clutch spring choices.. and kevin & other go engine racers helped with tuneing which at the end of it all was sorted.. dont know but for some reason i lost 2! screws from the head.. and we wondered wtf is going on... but most importantly...
95% kinks filtered..
buggy is doing great..
attached you ll see what i did re routing the fuel line.. making sure it wouldnt be touching the engine and or any servo parts.. i do recall this technique being used to increase back pressure.. a more smooth delivery of fuel i conclude.. and even a more constant flow... adding reliability to idleing..?

How do ya loose head bolts when I checked em before we ran it "that first day" and then I re tensioned em once it cooled down after it's first run ?
Did you not re tighten em again (as I showed you) when you removed the head to knock down the piston jammed at TDC the other week with the spark plug spanner (not how I showed you how to do it) I showed you to use a screw driver on the flywheel.
