well...i just got back from the Airtronics Winternationals at Revelation Raceway in Ontario,California...I ran Novice Truggy, cause i didnt feel like trying to chase down Adam Drake, his wife and Travis Amezcua in Expert
.....my first qualifier was ended early, due to a ripped off rear hub
....but my secong quali wasnt too bad...i ended up qualifying 9th in the A-main and finished 4th in the 20 min A-main
....it was fun as hell though...we were pitted right behind the "WORLD CHAMP" Cody King and got to see his cars and whatnot and had a chat with PITPOP
....motor ran GREAT...if only i could stay off my lid

GO and MG66 motors won every national title except one here last year, and in that one they came 3rd (15 podiums in national events over the 12 months), and I'm still getting the backlash from the GO haters here. Now they are bad mouthing me and my advertising, because they can hardly trash the motors anymore after the success we had last year. You learn to ignore their ramblinigs after a while. Remember - feel sorrow rather than contempt for these ignorant individuals, who have been drawn into the age old consumer trap of thinking that if it is way more expensive, it must be way superior. Which as some of us know, is not always the case

A case in point - I was talking to a racing buddy yesterday who has an RB WS7 motor he runs. Nice motor, goes great. He just ordered a new main bearing and rod for it from the local RB distributor- NZ$166.75 wholesale incl taxes !!! (so I am guessing a shop retail price of around $NZ200 plus. Does it outperform the GX's and MG's - no. It's on a par from what I have seen, maybe slightly better economy. New main bearing and a rod for the GX - NZ$77 shop retail incl taxes.
Now you can see why some people defend their decision to buy the expensive "boutique brands" so aggressivly. They are miffed, and they don't like the thought that everyone else knows it.
Everyone likes nice things, and I certainly wouldn't say no to some exotic race motor if someone else was preapared to buy it and pay to have it maintained for me
(any generous benefactors reading this
).I know it wouldn't outperform my MG66 where I race, so unless money is no object (yeah right !!) it's a no brainer to run the less expensive Taiwanese versions.
Obviously money is not an object for some racers, and good on them if they are in that position, but just spending more for a "name" brand doesn't always mean you are getting any extra value for your money.
Everyone to their own thing, just as long as they don't bleat when they get their butts kicked

Don't sweat it mate, you will get that Taiwanese motor hate all the time on here. It's just people getting angry that they have spent 2 to 3 times the dollars on some exotic European or Japanese mill, and are getting there butts kicked by the "cheap" Taiwanese model. They are just bitter people that's all. One should feel sorrow for them rather then contempt

Looking for GO Nitro Engine Spare Parts
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently purchased a Pursuit nitro Boat with a GO 25 engine in it. I bought this for my Son's birthday. Unfortunately whilst running in the motor I blew the conrod and piston. I have searched everywhere on the Net but cannot find the suitable parts, can anyone help?
I have a Rossi 5-port which seems similar in conrod size but piston is .21 size, could this GO engine be a clone of another?
Cheers Matt
