Best pipe for the GX-7R is the GO EFRA 2072 by far.
As far as carb needles go - contact Trey at GO USA (Runne on here). I believe the GX Series is now available with either short or long needle in the US. Have a chat with Trey and see what he recommends for you.

sounds exciting Robert, waiting to on a surprise is like being a kid again
Shane, i just noticed your new avatar...that's a great shot of your buggy on a very hooked up track at the auckland champs.
I couldn't get any of the pics you gave me to work, if i give you my logon can you do mine?
think i'll join you in that quiet spot warming our motor and avoiding the new car frenzy Shane
nice to have a dailed car aye, just chuck it on the track and GO for it.

2072 is the best pipe for GXII, all GX Series, all previous Generation GO's and the MG66. Also works brilliantly on Alpha motors too
I know that's a fairly sweeping statement - but in this case it is absloutly true.
There are other pipes that work well on the GXII and the other GO based motors mentioned (like the 053, 086, 2013), but none as good as the 2072 it seems from popular opinion.

......ever tried strapping a 007 pipe to the back of a old red-head 3 port race??? lol!!! just today pulled off 2 tanks both just under 14 min IN A BUGGY with more than enough power everywhere on the track and pulled like a raped-ape down an 150' straight!!!!`makes me wonder what that 007 would do strapped to the back of my gxII....i know it worked really well on my old powerhouse turbo mod grp .21 5 port....

The 007 is a bottom end pipe. The 3 Port is a bottom end motor, so yes it will rip down low and mid. The preferred dynamite pipe for the 3 port is the top end 086 pipe.
The 2072 will give you both good bottom / mid and extended top end as well.
Not as much top as the 086 perhaps, but a better overall power curve.
Everyone has their favourites depending on track and driving style, but I would stand by my statement regarding the 2072. Give one a go, you might become a convert
