Lol nice Mike.

On a related note I had a eye appointment today and turns out I needed specs. My laps times should drop by 2 seconds now that I can see better. :batman:

My eyes are fine while i'm on the track,i can run our track when its almost dark (good training by the way) but working up close with small stuff is starting to get a bit fuzzy... 2 more years to the big 50

Kool me too :D & Not real sure bud, I'v never raced at that track before, I assume CB are a safe bet with weight restrictions flying, not sure on compounds tho, thats what I'm taking some in SS, S, and M and one set of Grids in S, just incase it's a wet meet............. sure hope not.
You seen the Truggy FEMCA thread in Aussie racing section on here ??

Quick question:

On the GX5R, how many shims should be on a fully broken in motor?

I have two gold and one silver.

Thanks
Arch

What about the GX II? I recently removed my copper shim. Is that a bad idea? The motor is running great.

What effect does the shim have on the motor? I was having problems with my tune. The motor seemed to want to run hot even though it was a little fat. It was suggested i try taking out the copper shim, which i assume is the break in shim, I ran yesterday and never got above 240 without the shim. I dont run the motor very hard since im still novice, so is 240 too hot?

anywhere from 220 to 260 is a good temp for this engine, taking a shim out adds compression=more power, i always thought i was the other way around, add a shim to run cooler temps:confused:
