Yer the jp pipes sound good but runtime is bad with them i run 25% with 9% oil and a hong nor 2080 6.5mm and get 12+ in runtime depending on track and grip level just 12 would be the lowest i've gotten on grass

I would get a re10 or re11 pipe and get a huge increase in run times. jp pipe eats gas. alpha 0801 pipe is good too. i got 10mins easy with buggy. and throttle controll is a must to a smoother finger will gain you run times too

Which one is better in the truggy and which one is meant for the buggy

Just a quick question, I went back about a dozen pages or so and did not find a clear answer to what pipe is the best for mileage for a truggy, as this motor is going in my sons 6t, and right now he was running an older version of the os-vspec,and can get 10 minutes or better, so now I was thinking about the jp3 for the new arrow gtr, but now after reading the last few pages seems that they are not going to help the mileage and may hurt it, so please help if you can

any thoughts on a os 2050 pipe???

They say the 2050 works well and also the 2060.

pcage 05-05-2012 07:36 PM

2060 seems right. 2050 : low end not so good.
with 2060 the engine is very smooth, too smooth for some.
2060 run time and engine temp most ideal.

I'm running the Re11 which is like running the os 2050 pipe but cheaper and I'm gettin 9-10 min easy. It also has good bottom and top power. I would highly recommend this pipe. FYI, You can also get the Re10 which is like running the os 2060 for The same price as 1 os pipe combo lol, if u wanted to compare and contrast. But the Re11 is my personal choice.

i also run the losi re11. have great low-mid-top end power. good fuel economy as well

Make sure u seal it up after installed. U don't want any air leaks.

Yesterday was my first race with this engine after a good break in. I put 1/2 gallon of VP Powermaster break in blend through it, then I took it to round 1 of our Arizona KBRL series yesterday with another 1/2 gallon of break in blend with 50% VP powermaster 30% mixed in. The engine still has mechanical pinch, still has the break in shim installed, still has a rich tune, and still has a high idle and holy crap it was awesome all day!

M2C 4 shoe variable weight flywheel with no weights, 2 yellow springs, 2 black and 4 hard regular aluminum shoes.

Nova Rossi 9901 pipe with standard header.

OS P3 Plug

Power was insane from bottom to top, not lacking anywhere!
I did not get to time a tank but I was coming in after 6 minute qualifiers with fuel at the seem on my tank.

Track was small and tight and mostly low throttle and blipping.

Not one hiccup all day, temps stayed in the 230-250 range. never touched the tune, just adjusted idle periodically as pinch was reduced.

I am sold on this engine so far, especially at this price point...

Mark Erce 05-13-2012 07:30 PM

glad you like it James!

pcage 05-13-2012 08:01 PM

used up 1/2 a gallon just bashing with my pals.
man, zero flame out :D, insane low and high end.
fantastic motor. this is the best taiwan made motor i ever laid my hands on compare with the alpha and argus i had tried on.
