My arrow was a dog yesterday. The 9901 pipe had no mid range whatsoever to get the car moving on the 230' straight. It would pull hard when I pegged it and then fall completely flat for 100 feet until it snapped into to top end. I kept leaning out the tune until it started bogging and then backed off a couple of hours. I took out the break in shim and even switched to a nova carb because it kept cutting out on me at high RPM on the box. I need to try some other pipes now. Did not get a chance to time runs as I was kinda pissed at how slow it was on the long straight which is the most fun part of the track. The race before on a short technical track it was awesome but on our big track I was not impressed.

Was running my Arrow in the Norwegian cup rd.2 this weekend, was running good all weekend :)
Rune Karlsen was TQ after Quals and total winner off the finals with a Arrow engine, using org carburator :)

How long are your mains James?

If you want to make power... it's simple: JP-3. No guarantee you'll get more than about 7-8 minutes on a 125cc tank. :lol: But if you are running 20 minute mains, that's only two pits.

20 minutes. I would like to have every possibility to get 10 minute run times. I never liked any of the JP pipes

James when i was at the PNB this year I asked Gene about the best pipe selection and he told me to ask Lopez. I asked Lopez and he said the RE12 was the best pipe he ever used.

These guys dont race at my home track..The RE-12 is similar to the 9901 and the 9901 sucked on my track..Our home track is 125x250' with a 230' WOT straight..I would trade the extra pit stop for a pipe that gives this engine balls..Grannies with walkers were passing me on the back straight:D

9901 is meant for a long stroke motor not gonna help you, you need a 2050,2060, re10,re11,053 dyna or ofna, 086 dyna or ofna, your teying to run a long stroke pipe on a short stroke motor it is not gonna work

If you can get hold of a AE2035 pipe give it ago. I run one on a vspec with the arrow internals. Engine still has mechanical so it was still on the rich side.Track i was on the back straight is a long sweeper that became a long front straight. Engine was still pulling at the end. Engine had a really strong bottom and pulled all the way to the top. Run times were around 730-8.00 but as I said it still has mechanical nip and was running rich. Motor would have been lucky to have 1-1.5 ltrs through it. Once it has had a bit more fuel through it I will lean on it and see how it goes for run time.

I use the RE11. it easily blows out our 90' straight. the engine produces great bottom-top end power. the only downfall is I can only get about 7 1/2-8min of runtime.

I have try many pipe. Still again OS 2060 is the best combo.
Low end not as good compare with others. But sufficient, very responsive to throttle input. And the long straight is awesome. It goes on forever.
Fuel runtime is better on 6 mm venturi, but lose out on long straight.
6.5 mm is all round.

I have 2 v2 engines. One which Im running a RE11, 7.5mm venturi, bullet P3 plug and 30% fuel. On out fairly tight, very high grip (astro) track, Im getting just over 10mins to a tank. The engine hasnt quite done a gallon yet so is still running a little rich. Tons of torque and it looks like its gonna be a missile down the straight.

However, my second engine which has an OS2050 strapped to it and has only done 4 tanks on the box, is proving to be an absolute bitch! Starts OK, ticks over ok, but as soon as I chuck it down to start doing lazy fig 8's for the break-in, the tickover just climbs and climbs. Cant really do too much tweaking on the box, as its still way to tight.
Went back to factory settings, but didnt seem to make much difference.

Should I be looking for an air leak somewhere? Im going to try the carb from my other engine in it, along with the RE11, see if that helps at all.

After about two gallon this thing was super tight, but well worth th wait, he thing is a missle tons of bottom and just pulls and pulls down the staright, Run time with a jp-4 pipe is about 8.30-9 minutes and its still on th tight side, my on worry is the needle's in the carb especially the bottom end and idle screw are so loose i can turn them with my finger nail, does anyone know if the OS needles will fit in the Arrow Carb?? I am gonna try it

Take out the stock needles take the stock o rings off then take a small piece of teflon tape and wrap it around where the o ring goes then place the o ring back on its original place, bam your done, The Teflon tape makes the o ring fit snug like its supposed to. Hope this helps
