I still use my WERKS carb in my Arrow. No flame outs and no problem on the straights with top end. RE11 pipe. The only thing I dont like is that I cant hear the engine. The RE11 pipe is quiet. lol

I got a good deal on an RE-11 from another "terrible"
Hopefully it will bring up the top end.

I wont lie though. It took me forever to find the perfect tune with that werks carb and re11 pipe. I think I could still lean it in a bit. Once I get back to the track i will fart around with it some more.

My werks carb wasn't werking anymore so I switched to Nova carb. I'm loving the engine so I'll keep at it until I get it all sorted.

Good suggestion.

I think I like that idea more than wrapping the threads. Anyone have experience with wrapping the threads? My concern is teflon tape seals and isn't designed to keep rotating - loosening, tightening, etc - that occurs with tuning an engine, and would become worthless after a while.

I understand your concern, but I have had my needles "taped" for the life of a few motors and never had one loosen up. That does not mean it can't or won't happen it just hasn't happened to me yet.

What I have been doing on my Arrow and OS/Bullitt carbs is put a drop of red Thunder Innovation loctite on the threads of all the needles. Then let it sit over night before starting. That solves the loose needles. I replaced the carb o-rings on my Bullitt and Arrow engines and they were both still way too loose once the engine was at temp, so thread lock is the way to go imo.

Its a shame that there is so many great engines out there but only 2 really good carbs.....

It is a shame, this thing is good , i wouldn't even want a modded version except for maybe in a truggy, the power delivery is awesome its so smoothe out of the hole, just a shame that the carb wont hold up.

Will any Nova buggy carb do?

Yes. It will take Nova, Werks, OS, Alpha, etc. the only carb that I know for sure will not fit is Picco, but I have not tried them all. I have a nova carb on mine now and just got an OS carb for it cause I need that Nova carb back on my Nova. Put a little TLC into your nova or OS carb and it will last a lifetime if you don't ruin the insulator with the pinch bolt.

Hi,

I am from Asia. We ran the Arrows here, with no whatsoever issue on the engine. The engine and carb all been very stable and easy to tune engine.

We had a team running the Arrows running in an endurance 8 hours race. Should have finish 1st place.....if the car didn't break down.....and clock the fastest lap too. Eventually finish 2nd overall..........

So far this is the first time I read that USA have so many issue with carb. All the needles are super. The engine hold tune in hot and wet weather. and I find it very strange that Arrows in USA have many issues on the carb.

im stil breaking in my arrow. My needles feels also a little loose, but didnt have any issues yet.
Im using a RB 2087/192 combo.Anyone else have a experience with the combo?

In my novarossi 4btt it did feel a little more agressive al the way compered with the 9901.But still smooth...
