I have a dual motor starter box, I'm sure that helped. I just made sure that the engine was hot enough before I started it. I had to drain the pipe after every tank as it was full of spent fuel and oil. I think the JP-4 is a good pipe for break-in because it is a gas hog.

Here's a link to the GTR 2 in a MBX6-T just before it dropped it's nuts (still rich) on our new layout. Not my best laps, still learning the new track with a new surface. I start out 3rd, take second for a little while, and end up 3rd of 3 or last. The other two guys are 2 of the fastest 3 at the club, I'm still learning!

Besides os what othet plugs are suitable?

O'Donnell 77T will work fine if you are in a bind. I've run them on the VZ's no issue. The OS plugs are just better though... no reason to switch if you can get them.

I don't know how good of a race that was, I feel I'm on my lid way too much. That's why I'm always third!

Hey Lee,

I just put a stock Mugen clutch on it for the break-in, with 3 .95 springs, I'd like to try a BUKU clutch next. I've got the M2C four shoe alum flywheel adjustable weight on two of my other engines, a Werks B6 pro and a Werks B2.
After she's fully broken-in, I may have to try a Werks carb and see if I notice any difference.

After trying the Werks 2013 pipe tomorrow, I also want to try using a progressive set of clutch springs, I'll start with a .9, then a .95, and then a 1.0. Trying to achieve a clutch that performs like the BUKU clutch.

BTW, I used a qt. of Powermaster Golden Break-in fuel, then the last three tanks I mixed in a third of Powermaster 30%, then half, then two thirds. It took about a little over a gallon to lose the cold pinch.
Cheers
Brian

Your welcome Lee, I had a chance to run the GTR II with the Werks 2013 pipe. Worked great has a mean kinda sound, I had a little trouble with fluctuating temps, when running in the main, I gained more power and not enough smoke, so I could tell it was too hot. I had 2 minutes to go so I didn't pit, after I finished I temped it at 275f:cry::cry:

I hope I didn't shorten it's life too much:eek:

I can't wait to try this engine in my buggy!
Cheers
Brian

Arrow-Racing Team Pro Modified GTR-21's now available at Hobby Pro USA.

Ryan Lopez, Corey Johnson, and Gene Hickerson have been testing this fully modified engine since December with excellent results. We feel that we have found the best possible combination of power and fuel economy for the Arrow Engines. We have tested the Losi RE-12, OS T-2060, and VP-Pro RS-4 pipes and they all work well with these mods. Fuel mileage ranges from 9-12 minutes with a big increase in all around power.

Any chance to get one already owned modified? I have a new one sitting in the box!

Sorry, my moder won't do one at a time because it takes to long to setup the machines.

Sounds sick. Any photos of the internals?

Yes, it is a cross between the rs1 & rs2 but much thicker. The others have been discontinued. Corey has been running it for 3 months and loves it.
