hello people

Has anyone here ever tried this engine with 9901 pipe novarossi?
recently bought a motor, and this weekend was smooth, but it's making a strange noise. I was told that the kite can be ...
I'm using the D8.

Revooooo, glad to see you decided to go Argus...You'll love those A5s for sure! Let me know if you need any help, and I'll see you for sure at Delta on Saturday. We should have our new D52 broken in and ready to race in buggy.

Geezer how does the D52 compare to the A52 so far? What pipe are you using up there?

MasterComander 01-23-2012 07:01 PM

anyone running the new B52 , and has used the A52.. what has been improved , mainly idle-ing reliability and power delivery..? as ill be getting the A5 and B52 to try out and test within the next 1-2weeks.

Kevin, I'll be starting break-in on the D52 tomorrow morning, and then we'll be racing it for the first time this Saturday. Per Lance I'm using the 0801 pipe on all my Argus engines, and it seems to really work well. I may get one of the 2090 pipes to test it out, but I'm very happy with the 0801 so far!!:nod:

If it idles and runs anything like the A5 does, then I'll be thrilled...and I expect it will exceed expectations!! More to come...

Thanks rcgeezer. I had been on the bubble of ordering these for a while now, but after I saw yours run, I was sold. They should hopefully be here tomorrow and I might be able to break them in before Saturday. If I can make it out Saturday hopefully. I got some honey-do's to take care of. Thanks for everything you and Lance helped me out with. Look forward to ripping this little baby around the track. Hope to see you there.

The D52 engine I mentioned a few pages back that I broke in for my buddy, and had the three turbo cuts.... ran flawless this past Sunday. We traveled out of state for some nitro action. Manson98 who posted above said he was happy with the power delivery.

Since it was so dang cold he spent some time dialing in the tune and learning what the engine had to offer. During the qualifiers and the main the engine was great. I could tell by his pace and car control he was loving it. One little mistake at the beginning of the race sent him to last place. But through consistency and quick laps he finished in 3rd. It was sure inspiring to watch him wheel the buggy around and see the power from these engines.

This was our first race experience with the D52 and it was a good one. Looking forward to the success this season.

Thanx
Chris

The F0801 is a great pipe as well as the Alpha 2081 and 2090. Out of all the pipes we tested these 3 are the ticket for sure?

And RCgeezer is running my MOD engines which are smoking fast. and smooth. But stock are very good as well.

I did try the EFRA 2081 with the A52. I thought it worked great at the time until I tried the 0801. No comparison! The 801 blows it out of the water.

I ran the A52 all last season and started off with a Dyn. 2081 and liked it. Then I got the 0801 and it was much better for that engine. Now I know the new ones are a little different but I would be they would still react close to the same as the A52. I am looking at getting the 2090 and seeing how it works. Have heard good things smooth power and longer run times with the Argus based engines.

Rcrenew 01-25-2012 10:08 AM

We tried the DYnamite 2081 and it did not work as well as the Alpha 2081, I know its a copy but the internal baffling is a little different and that makes a big difference. when we were testing that pipe we switched to the Alpha 2081 and there was a big difference on performance. Also we noticed tuning was not as stable with the DYn pipe.

The 2090 does get the best mileage out of the pipes.

0801 all day for me!! I love the 0801 it gets same mileage as most pipes and has power for days. I will probably never get 10 minutes run time it just doesn't work for me so 0801 will be what I keep on it.

Will anyone be picking up as an Argus distributor in the USA?
