Ok any new news on the A5 and B52 motors? I dont see any updates from Agrus on parts and performance. Whats the latest and greatest?

Depending on how loose they are you may need new o-rings. I have seen some guys use a little teflon tape on the threads very carefully but. Not the best way to do it.. Haven seen any issues on the Argus carbs yet.

Still waiting on the Factory to get the order out. They should be here in 2 weeks or so. I will keep you updated when I hear more news on the ETA. There was a delay becasue they have changed the name from B52 to D52 for the U.S engines. So it will be the A5 and the D52.

What's considered loose? Where can I find those orings?

Rcrenew 11-23-2011 01:58 PM

Well, loose enough for them to move on there own when the engine is running, If you are sure thats whats happening. I will check to see if I have some o-RIngs, if not AtoZ might.

Had a front bearing go on me and am looking to replace. Tko ceramic a good choice? What size does one need to get?

Great engines. Had fun racing two of them last summer. Will have to get a new style argus this year too...

No need for a ceramic in the front. To much dirt gets in and ruins them quick. Pick up the novarossi blue sealed one. Youll never have to replace it again.......

Yes the Tko ceramic 7x19x6 is a great choice and great price.

Try a werks #5 the engine temps like 240-265. Im using the werks plugs and the F0801 pipe. I only have less than half a gallon on my engine and its stock it has tons of bottom and screams on top and I still need more engine time on it.

Got an Argus from Jonathan at ATOZRC.NET last week. Great price and rapid shipping; thank you. I agree with many prior posts. The engine retains it's metal pinch longer than I'm used to. The temps also got hotter than I'm used to. Thankfully I was told in advance not to worry about getting it up to 270 degrees. At a little over 3/4 of a gallon it finally dumped and ran rich and the temps dropped.
I'm running an 0801 pipe, Odonnell 97T plug, on the Argus A52. Lot's of power and speed from top to bottom and pretty smooth too. Running rich I'm getting 9 min on a hard packed, dusty surface. Should be able to safely pit at 10 min once fine tuned.
I'll report back if there's something I can add that hasn't been said 10 times already.

Sounds like your to lean on the bottom, and fat on top. Fattan the bottom a couple hrs at a time and then compensate buy leaning the top a couple hrs at a time. If this is a stock motor your top should be about a half turn in from flush and the bottom should only be about a 1/4 to 1/2 turn in from out of the box setting.....
