Hi we have run the Boost and tryed alot of pipes and found the Go Tech 2072 worked well on the Picco Boost you will have to bend up a header as Picco change every thing around on there pipes. I had ours Modded also to bring it alive and worked well. Because the Boost also uses the 28 exhaust outlet on the back you may have to trim up a exhaust gasket for a proper fit with another pipe.

Here in Italy everyone use the factory pipe 2046.
Then picco engine are good with 15% mix fuel.

Good day, i have a new picco boost, and i finished the break-in process.

this sunday, i have race, an my engine fail.

First, the engine have stop, for nothing, the temp is good, the engine run well. them with the hot engine, i accelerate and brake, and the engine is off. i see the low iddle engine, and this was very closed, i open a little and the motor to run normally.

them the engine have a double ralenti, but if close more the low iddle, i comme the before problem.

the actually carburator settings if, low iddle open, and high iddle very closed. but i dont like this extremely carburation.

please recomend me.

who knows the original set-up iddle carburator.

from what your saying it sounds like a lean top and rich bottom setting.

I am running the Losi RE11 pipe and I love it, the stock pipe is a dog. I am a die hard Novarossi +4 fan but I am starting to like the Boost alot. It is very smooth with lots of low end with the RE11 and I am turning faster lap times with it. The only thing I dont like is you go 1/4 hour lean and it just flat wont run but when tuned right it rocks. I have 4 races on it with zero flameouts and zero issues.

What's the deal with these Boost engines? Are they good? Not many people seem too keen on them. I see people selling them new unused too..

Looking at buying a used buggy roller with a new Picco Boost. Being a casual racer though, I only want an engine that will be border-line over-powered.. First choice right now is an Argus.. I had a Picco Evo 3 P7 and loved it. Are these Boosts good, or flawed in some way? I tend to care less about run time and "smooth" power delivery(which basically means less power afaic..) than price, power, and tuneability....

We had two and found them to be a great club engine, It just wont rev but has great bottom end... Modded they wake up a little but the 5 port Picco walks away from it....

Not the first time, and probably not the last.
They take all the effort in to building engines I guess...
