Spent all day yesterday breaking in my B03 in buggy and T02 in truggy. Even though I still had the engines rich on the bottom and top both engines would just sit there and idle all day long
Power was good on both engines but being that I was still running on the rich side I haven't seen there true potential. Looking forward to my next race

Im ready to pull the trigger on a tecnopower engine i just need to know witch one between the BO1T ,BO2,BO2T,BO3 i just can get enough info on how each one is diffrent in how they run power wise. Its going in a d8 hara buggy.

Mine has been tuning very easily so far.I have heard that the B02T makes a little less power but is easier to tune so its really up to you. All of them are awesome engines

B03 has the most power of them all. And its what I have been breaking in now for the past couple weeks. SO far its making really good smooth power and its producing 9 1/2 minutes of run time even though I still have it running rich!

The B03 is a 7 port.
note:
There are so many people that believe a 3 port is a bottom end only engine and a 7 port is a top end only engine. Engine design and port timing would have a larger effect on this than port count.

Yes, correct the G5 engine has the same internals as the B01i and happy to hear you appreciate the smoothness of this engine, however for some it does not have enough power and so this is why we have developped a little more...
The B02 compared to the B01i has a new crankcase and also a new crankshaft with a more adapted timing, this engine gives better overall performances but still smooth.
The B03 however is a bigger step to even more overall power due to quite some internal changes.
The difference between the B02 and B03 is that you can have more fuelconsumption on both depending on how you drive..., however you will have more power at your disposal with the B02 already and so I think this is the better choice for you to start with. If after you want even more power then the B03 could be the weapon you want to have, however if you drive agressively and use the available power then you use also more fuel...
Hope this has helped you further.
Sincerely, Rody"
The G5 (B01i) felt a little soft for me in buggy. I could clear all the jumps, but I needed more throttle than everyone else. It is a great engine for people who like a really smooth power band though.

I have the original BO1, didn't have the power I expected for a truggy, put it in my buggy, still was lacking what I was expecting, changed out clutch for more agressive, all aluminum, 1.0 springs, then changed my center spur gear to 48 tooth, made a big difference, still haven't had time to check fuel mileage, but runs much better, using 2069 pipe, and speed Hipex header.

I think you will obtain better results with the V1 combustion chamber part#0102001-V1 it comes with a H6 turbo glowplug
On the B01 I suggest you try this chamber with 0.3mm of headshims and 25-30% nitrofuel.

I finally finished the break in on my two Tecnopower engines. All I can say is I'm impressed with everything about these engines. Not only do they tune VERY EASILY. They idle all day long, make good smooth power and get incredible run time.
My truggy engine, the T02 has very little mechanical pinch left after about 1 1/2 gallons of fuel. At full race tune it was really moving my truggy around with ease. I timed the last tank of fuel, on my local track wich is medium bite the truggy ran out of fuel at 12 minutes and 11 seconds!!!
My buggy engine, the B03 has a TON of mechanical pinch left after 1 1/2 gallons of fuel. On my last tank of fuel I ran the engine at about 90-95% race tune and the buggy ran out of fuel at the 10 minutes 38 seconds!!! This engine is already making OS Speed power but a much smoother powerband. LOVE IT!!!
By far my favourite engines I've run to date and I've run them ALL!!!

The backplate fits, however with the backplate change you will not find a lot of improvement on the B01.
