The NEW Novarossi
Novarossi, after months of testing, is pleased to present the new high performance 1/8th off-road engine MANTRA! A name you will hardly forget in the days to come. This engine is a revolution in the Novarossi off-road engine range, proposing for the first time a square stroke (16.42mm x 16.42mm) on the top range motor, plus a 14mm shaft and new piston/cylinder configuration. Thanks to all of this, we were able to get an elastic and linear power feel, and more torque in medium/high rpm, but incredibly with really low fuel consumption. NOVAROSSI MANTRA, IS THE NEXT LEVEL! Tech Specs: Displacement: 3,49 cc R.P.M. (max power): 36.500 RPM Bore x stroke: 16,42x16,42 mm Sleeve: 4 ports Rear ball bearings: steel Front ball bearings: steel Crankshaft: 14 mm - turbo Carburetor: plastic - 9 mm - slide Glowplug: Turbo (C6TGC) Exhaust position: rear Starting: standard Weight: 373 g Fuel type: 25% nitro http://www.novarossi.it/2012/index.p...a-offroad.html |

Thanks I picked up a Craftsman 7mm combination wrench and got the fuel inlet nipple turned and ready to go. I am breaking in the Roma tomorrow, I need to pull the cone washer and install the one that came with my TLR flywheel, or I might go with the Novarossi Buggy Clutch. I bought the Novarossi Clutch last week, I really don't know much about it other than its a 34mm. I am going to try the Novarossi Clutch first, if I can't get it to work I will put the TLR Steel flywheel in until the aluminum one gets here. I bought a Losi 8ight-T RTR, but the RTR motor was locked up, so I got the Roma, and I have almost replaced all the parts with the kit TLR parts, just waiting on the Chassis and a few small things, other than that its had everything replaced with kit parts.

Can anyone get me a line on two mantras?
|
Would have been nice if they silicon filled the crank but easily done I guess. Bang for buck Nova's are hard to beat. Apart from 2 x speeds the rest are Nova's. The so called budget P5 with a minimum of work will easily keep up with the Speeds. Gotta love that!

4 port and square stroke..... sounds like the same as the Ielasi Tuned offroad engines.
|
Well Kyle McBride has been running the new engine which is the Mantra, even if his says prototype on the head and he is very happy with the new engine, plenty of power, sharper off the line and a bigger top end over the mito 4, he won the QLD state title last weekend with the engine, more testing to go but looks and sounds good
