My last Nova Plus 4 had over 8 gallons on it with original rod and bearings with no maintenance done to it. Fresh filters when needed and engine heated before starting. If you break in a Nova correctly, it will last a long time. Of course don't run lean and check for wear periodically.

Yes, I bought one a while back and finally got around to trying it in my Elite 8 last night. I'm not sure about any increase in power or mileage yet since the engine is still pretty new but the biggest change I noticed is how easy it is to tune the engine. It seems to drop down to a nice idle a lot quicker with the eb plate. I've still got a little experimenting to do but so far I like it.

I have to agree with you on this. I'm running one on my elite 8 as well as keep off 21-4 and have noticed the same thing on both engines.

It should, slight increase in performance unnoticeable

Should I change the conrod now or should I check for signs of wear to make that decision?
Depends on how high you rev your engine and how hard you push it.. Most guys run conservative pipe setups with small carb inserts so their engines aren't pushed overly hard so their connecting rods will last the lifespan of the engine... However if you start running some of the more aggressive engines with bigger inserts and more powerful pipe and manifold setups you may start needing to consider a rod change every few gallons , especially if you run the engine hard... So maintenance schedule really depends on you and how hard you push the engine .

Mito 7 vs legend 7, which is preferable? And why?

P/S/R & carb assembly are part numbered the same.

Mito gets the offset carb base/induction and altered crank to match.

Technically the Mito is the flagship of the 2.

You can decide if the price difference warrants using one over the other for your application.

240 vs 270.... is the offset carb/crankcase worth it?

Not sure if offset is worth it. They went back to center mounted carb for ONROAD MITO C.

Default Bt4 plus overheating

My bt4 plus bogs on the straight and runs super hot yet my HSN is way rich like 6 turns out from bottom. I replaced the exhaust gaskets and checked internals and nothing looks broken. No fuel leaks through front bearing. Still feels like I have lots of compression. Less than 2 gallons on it. Any suggestions?
