NOVAROSSI Engine thread....

Can anybody redirect me to a tuning guide on here for Novarossi's? I've got a plus 4 wc edition. Haven't raced since last summer and could use a refresher before I go out first time this year. Thanks!

Do not unscrew the needle. there is a 1.5 set screw opposite the ball. Loosen it up and rotate the ball to where you need it.

Picked up a CLIO P5 today. LHS was out of pipes and headers. What's a good combo for this engine? Local track is Gulf Coast Raceway in Porter, TX. Indoor, smooth, blue groove. I'm new to 1/8th scale so I don't know if it's tight or not. It only has 1 long straight section right now.

Have a very odd issue with my old 2006 21-5 plus engine. It cuts out from 75-100% throttle. The truck has a brand new fuel tank, line and old kyosho fuel filter on it. The engine is just past break in on a pinch. I added a new con rod and advantage bearings to the engine. When installing the bearings I removed one of the shields on the bearing for the back facing side. I am running a 086 nova pipe. The low end tuned up with no issues and sits there and idles all day. I even swapped out carbs on the engine with a known good one and still has the same issue. I even went back to stock settings ( 5 out top and 3.5 bottom) still same thing. I also tried leaning in the top but still cuts out on the top, stopped at 6 hours in since it showed no signs of going away. It smokes like crazy and the plug is wet. 30% fuel and old OD99 plug. Any help would be appreciated.

with the engine still connected to the fuel tank and some fuel in the tank, take the HSN needle all the way out, turn the engine upside down and blow through the pressure line of the tank forcing fuel through the banjo fitting. You may have a piece if debris cloging the HSN, starving the top end for fuel.

I have 9901 on my bonito, they work great together and produce excellent mileage.
