The 2013 pipe works pretty well on the plus4C as does an 86 based pipe , if you use the ofna 086 be sure to use a round smooth flow header such as novarossi 41021 or the jammin round header and you will love the power !!!

So what do you think of Novarossi's suggested break in? Says when you run for the first time let it run for 30 minutes at 15-20,000 rpm. The longer the run time the better. I've always done it like most with the heat cycle method but wondered if anyone has done it like they suggest?

I was wondering that too. I did once do it like I saw some guy had posted about and had a video about where you heat it up and run an entire gallon through it on a stand varying the rpm range and kinda heat cycling it at the same time. Got really annoying after about 30 minutes! Motor came out nice but I agree the Heat cycle method is easier. Especially with the new Competition Heat Heater!

Questions?? When to rebuild +4

Just a quick question on rebuilding a +4
When are the suggested replacement times for the following:

bearings
rod
piston and cylinder
crank

Just kind of curious. starting to put a rebuild kit together just would like to know when it is suggested.

Does the FMS have a break in shim installed from the factory? Going to run 30% and want to know if I need to re shim it after break in. Thanks.

had a few questions on the rossi 3 port limited, I smoked all my motors over the winter and had this one sitting in a box as a back up. What is a good pipe, what clutch setup(is it boggy with a soft setup) what restricter. My main concern is mileage not so much power, I would like to get 11min tanks. Only have a week to prepare for colorado state series so any input would be great.

If you want a mostly mileage setup I would recommend 9901ss/41005 setup . That will be a great setup for that engine that is geared towards mileage .
