OS bearings...really?!? The bearings in my last OS Speed XZ-B were horrible...both front and rear. After my experience with two XZ-B speed engines, OS lost my support of their products.
Rob if you don't want that 17011 feel free to drop it on my pit table next time we race together. :D |

Thanks a lot for the advice houston, but may i ask why the 41029? And also the seller has 2 choices i think for the header and pipe, so what will be my next best choice if he doen't have the 41029(or even the combo)?

Well i guess my statement is a little dated since my experience was with the older vzb speeds and my 25 xz, lol. The 25 does have a quality front bearing, can't speak about the rear since i changed it to ceramic early on. Ill trade you a can of coca cola for that $29 crap bearing next time we race Scotty, lol. Happy New Year buddy.

On another note... I was wondering if there's a Nova out there with more power and better on fuel than a Bonito in a buggy. I'm currently running a Bonito and a P5XL with the 9901 pipe and love it, just curious if there's anything else out there that NOVA offers. It's been a while since I've run them, SOOO glad I decided to go back to Novarossi!!!

Hi houston,
Thanks a ton for the help, so i think i'll get the toro nero for the long straight power. Oh, btw, i'll be putting the engine on a mugen mbx6 buggy, i suppose the pipes you recommended is good for it? |

you're nuts  and btw , that is supposed to be "THE POWERHOUSE" in the line up so you would be hardpressed to find MORE power unless you deal witha modifier or something of that nature |

A Clocked Bonito :D If you want more power in a buggy than a stock Bonito. You might want a steel flywheel with all that power in a buggy though.

Slowly learning nova internal engines by spectating a buddy work his magic with em. I had a question he had discovered in a recently purchased bonito that the r7 rod has been "revised" in a sense and is alot beefier than the older r7. If I were to purchase a bonito now, do they all come with this "revised" r7 rod?

i still get engines with the 11 rod in them , still a great rod i have only seen 3 R7 rods out of thousands break and they have all been at the lower bushing area you will not "get shorted" if you have any R7 rod in your engine bro , trust me |

nova puts whatever they have at the time in , the latest is 14 and man is it beefy !! it is stemming from the onroad world where the rod is the weakest link , not necessary for offroad but will not really hurt engines performance , although it does multiply the reciprocating mass of piston/sleeve/wristpin and clips , the team piston is already heavier sooooo

Im still at the early stages of even getting familiar with all the internals. That just happened to be something my buddy has not seen yet is this "newer" rod if you will. But definently is beefy. |
