But if what you guys are saying is that this is from a too rich LSN, and a venturi change won't make a difference, I'll put the 9mm back in and lean the bottom some..

And what about the Picco venturis(Nosram actually)?
so we can help what novarossi engine are you talking about

I would try to lean the LSN, if idle comes up, put the idle down, lean the lsn more etc etc. untill it just wont work anymore and it will be bogging, from there on richen the lsn a bit.. If it wont idle, put the idle up a little bit.

My P5 wont run idle well when the engine is cold, when the engine is warm it will idle all day, snappy as hell.. Nova's tune a little different to my feeling..

If an engine is in good shape and the tune is spot on, a cold engine will idle just fine. But preheat your engines everytime. You know the tune is off, if the idle is too high or low before the engine has its operation temperature. Should be able to accelerate rather smoothtly even when its cold.
Lack of power? Many Novarossi owners doesn't lean the HSN enough. It must "sing" on the straight instead of sounding like a sewing machine. After the HSN is spot on, finetune the LSN and then you'll see the power of your engine. Remember SMAAAAALL adjustments (1/12 of a turn or so when you fine tune the engine).
It often feels like the clutch is defective if the engine isn't tuned correct (too early engagement).
Use a 7 mm venturi.
Picco/Nosram venturies doesn't fit a Novarossi engine

That's true, but i ran a little rich because it ain't that old yet and has fantastic power (CRE P5), with the lowest idle possible..

I made it through the first 28 pages...I see the engines you guys are discussing are not even in the same decade as mine.

I have an old Novarossi M12, and am trying to find out more information. Specifically if I have a turbo or non-turbo button and what model M12 I have. MR I think?

I dug through the Novarossi site and looked through the 'Discontinued Models', but couldn't figure it out from that, either. Is there a pdf there for this?

I have more questions about it, but I'll start with this.

This engine is for my (also old) RC10GT FT.

Pics...really big pics. I can take more if you need me to.

I would greatly appreciate any info you could give me!

Thanks,

~Jeff

Looks like a non turbo button. I don't see the taper a turbo head would have. And being that old Im not sure if turbo plugs even existed then.

Any advantages to the btts prerun over the btt prerun? Other than the ceramic front bearing?

Nope...ceramic front bearing and the price are the only differences between BTTS and BTT.

Default Old School.....

Anyone else have any more information on the M12?

I am having a hard time finding much for it.

I'm guessing that it is from the mid-90's?

what else do you want to know?

if you expand your search for MT12 you'll have more hits.

I have one in my FTGT and I think it's one of the best nitro motors ever made. Perfect for nitro trucks. Just keeps going and going

Any idea what pipe this is? I'm guessing since it's probably 15+ years old, there are better pipes nowadays...

I'd like, if I could, to make it a side instead of a rear facing pipe. What manifold/pipe would you recommend? I'm just a basher, I don't want spend huge money. Lookin for a torque pipe I guess.

Sorry for the newb questions, thanks for not me.....
