A little help guys....

I tried searching but I'm not sure what to search for and haven't had any luck finding my answer yet. I have been having problems getting my 21-4 btt to idle consisently and I was just working with it and got it doing well. The problem now is that when I go WOT and let off the throttle quickly it will just die. Is that too rich or lean? LSN or HSN?

It has m2c clutch with .95 springs, 9901/41021, c6tg and Odonnel speed 30%

Thanks...

My bonito was flaming out the same way. Turned out it was a lean lsn. Leave your hsn flush and your lsn flush or half turn out from flush.

Yes, the one that I got is the 4-port off road buggy version, not the 9-port on-road engine.....;)

In case I missed it, when did you order? Have you received it yet? I'm trying to weed through the translator issues. What other Nova currently on the market in the U.S. would this be comparable to?

Thanks

Volksmotor is a "spare" parts engine , interesting parts arrangement tho , i havent quite figured it out yet - of course i would have to have one in hand and on the bench . Im thinking older max? No idea

Hope theyre good for ya guys

A half a turn out would be very rich. I have mine about a half a turn in from flush and the bottom seems about right.

I've been speaking with the folks at MKRacing for a week or so now. It was showing as available starting 6/12, but there was a few days delay getting them to Hoeco from Novarossi. It was going to take another couple of days to get them to MKRacing.

I just got an e-mail from Michael Klausner (the gentleman I've been speaking to). My motor should ship in today or tomorrow. I'm in no hurry, so it's not a big deal.

Incidentally, if you e-mail them, they do speak english, but not quite "perfectly". It's best to keep sentences short, and use proper english (no slang terms if possible).

You're most likely right about that Monty, especially since it's "limited quantities". It's a Novarossi though, so even their spare parts will be good quality stuff....

I mainly picked one up to give it a try. One of my favorite motors was my O'Donnell SS.21. It was a 3 port, square-stroke (16.45mm) engine. If the Volksmotor is anything like that one, I'll be a happy camper. If it's a complete turd, I won't be out a huge chunk of cash. :D

Regarding pipes, I'm going to run my O'donnell R2 and header. It did really well on my SS.21, and I don't see any reason it won't do well on a motor with comparable specs. I also had really good results with an OS2060....might be another good one to try.

RB has been doing lots of engines from parts - Fire 11, the Blast series, etc.. It's like they forget about a warehouse of Novarossi parts somewhere..

has anyone done any more testing with the 24065 off road carb which got released a little while ago. I saw of few of you were looking in to it.

Im keen to see feedback when using it with 21-4C and 21-4BTT engines

re12 is an excellent choice. Great on the wallet as well.

do you think this routing setup is too long? just started tuning this engine, has a 1.25 gals through it. Byron's 30% w 11% lube with 10 drops of castor added to each tank of fuel

beidle99 06-18-2012 12:45 PM

I think your pressure line is to long. Should be about 8" long. 10 drops of caster oil per tank seems like a lot too. Whats wrong with running the Byrons 30/11 straight with no added castor oil?

Looking to buy +4 here pretty soon Can someone suggest a pipe/manifold for NW style tracks? small to medium size track short run up to jumps etc.

Front Bearing Size..

I know it has been asked... but what is the front bearing size on Plus4C Tuned please?

Specs Say 7x19x6.3... Will a 7x19x6 work?

Thanks
