I think you are rich on bottom.
Mine goes straight to low idle and stays there. That is how I was taught to set it many years ago. |
Having trouble keeping the BTT models straight...do I have this right?
BTT = Ceramic rear/steel front bearing BTTA = Steel bearings front and rear BTTS = Ceramic bearings front and rear Are there other differences between these engines? Thanks! |

Could be a leaky front bearing.....When you last ran at the Hill your engine was running rich.

Thanks! Any other differences in the engines? Carb/crank/timing/etc?
All the same besides the bearing differences you noted. |

Thanks Chris. I'll try leaning the LSN and see how it responds. Its very close to being perfect, just trying to get that last little bit of performance out of it can take some fine fine tuning that I often don't have the patience for. LOL
Keep a eye on the HSN as well. Write down where your needles are now for a reference point to go back to. Make small adjustments. |
i was trying not to make too much light of this but many of the nova engines as of late have been coming with a subpar front bearing (compared to 17011 ;)) and have been causing some issues , the more of you guys that show your concern to serpent usa/desoto racing the quicker the issue will be remedied or email novarossi direct through their website
hope this helps i try to tell my customers of this and let them choose which way to go on the front bearing happy motorin', Monty |
