Hex would b easier since most of us have the right tools to remove a hex bolt easily. I have removed those slotted screws numerous times on many engines without any issues. The right tools make any job easier...

Interesting, when I got my P5 I liked the flat head screws more than the hex screws on my previous engine. I use a Losi temp tuner and/or the Losi tuning screw driver and both work fine tightening and loosening the screws.

I have been using the Nova Rossi 2096/021 pipe and header, the 9901/021 also works well. Fuel mileage, depends on what your using in, buggy should get 10 minutes easy, and that depends on track layout, and size.

So which one is better 2096 or 9901 ? What the different between thise two pipe, if I use btt and all the same setting kit. Thanks

They are definately cheap Monty, i have a couple of Turnigy drivers, the tips wear out quick though (hence the price) but can be replaced with hudy tips if you want.

the flatheads do not

i wouldnt recommend any of their allen drivers , i have ordered them all for testing purposes and wasnt happy with any of them , HUDY tools are "THE BEST" hands down

Here is the best screw driver that I have found to not have trouble with head screws. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...si-Engine-Head

I bought that Hudy to use on my first Nova engine. The tip shattered on first attempt. I was in disbelief. Went to Sears and bought a good ol' red/blue/transparent handle Craftsman screwdriver. Then used a bench grinder to custom fit it to Nova head screws. Now 5 years later going strong. LoL.

aznitronut 05-28-2012 07:19 PM

Ya, it happens, I have broken them and hex tips. pisses me off too!

aussies1129 05-28-2012 07:24 PM

for those that break there flat screw drivers or even hex drivers just use a hobby tool to grind a nice new tip saves buying and waiting for a new one:)

I always end up replacing the slotted screws with the RB hex head
screw kit.
