Anyone use a 2013 pipe on a plus 21-4C team? We are using a 2096 on my son's buggy with great results. Going to run a new broken-in motor in my buggy this weekend and forgot that I did not have another 2096. thanks.

It'll work good , wont quite get the mileage but you will get power

I used to run 9901 and short header and found it to be pretty good, Could get over ten minute run time no problems at all :tire:

Blade,

I run the 2084 pipe, and 021 header on mine. Love it. I have heard that the 2096 is a little better. 8mm carb restrictor, #5 Rossi plug at first then went to a #6 last time I ran it, Byron's Pro Driver 30% and still got 10 minutes a tank running it hard at close to sea level. XLT was in stock form, no mods. This year she's modded so we'll see how much better it is.

2096/41021 combo in Serpent 811T, engine is fairly new so I have not had it outside yet. FWIW, at two indoor events the combo would easily make 12-13min. Mine is Houston Tuned version, ran C6TGC plug, 7mm restrictor, and 30% VP/Powermaster

Question, I have a bonito that I am planning on racing tomorrow and I wanted to ask about suggestions for clutch springs

I have the werks clutch medium with alu shoes so since I read that the bonito has a little of a slow rev up out of the hole and the track that I will be running needs some bottom power what would you reccomend to run as far as springs?
2- .9 and 2 -1
4- .9
4- 1

Suggest a light or ultra light flywheel , 2 x 1.1mm , 2 x 1.0mm all aluminum

Surely

I would recommend completely removing the copper shim on the bonito also , unles it is still fresh then wait until "pinch" is lightened up and it is just a nice compression seal :D

Hope this helps

Monty...do you remove the copper shim on your HES tuned Bonito or do you leave it up to the owner to do so?

the owner (you :lol:) should do so after the engine is fully broke in ;)

you will see a drastic change in engine performance :D

Serious question... Is the Bonito bottom end really that soft it requires a clutch setup like that?

I can't speak for others, but my modified Bonito has massive bottom end ...on my engine guys are gearing up 1 tooth and running .9 springs on the clutch in truggy..... that is even running a 9886 on the shortest manifold possible .......The engines awesome and has more truggy power then any other .21 i have ever seen ....And I don't even run the head clearance any tighter then stock, we haven't needed to pull any shims out yet....nobody has even asked LOL !
