Hi Klimpen, that 2013 and 2057 are simply earlier pipe designs. They used to be EFRA approved but in the case of the 2013 sound later became an issue and with the 2057 we just stopped racing with it as the 2058 is so much better so we stopped sending it in for approval. My recomendation to you would be to get the 2058, it is going to be noticeably better than the 2057 that you are running now!

Ahh, you have to send them in EVERY year to get them approved?
Are you 100% sure the 2058 will be approved for 2015?
If so I will buy one, otherwise I have to wait and see!

Thank you!

Yes there are no issues with the 2058 as far as registration is concerned.

Best pipe on the market, works on so many different engines and screams, i got three of them in my pit bag.

+1 Sam

The Werks EFRA 2058 is pretty much the "universal soldier" of tuned pipes.
You will find improved performance (and 95% of the time improved economy) running this pipe on a wide variety of motors.
It's now the only pipe we stock (it's that versatile).
We have customers running the 2058 on not only our Werks motors, but on OS Speed, RB, Novarossi, and a wide variety of Taiwanese engines such as GO and Alpha etc.

So it's winter and I'm bored.. I really don't need it, since of late I've had so little time to run nitro, but I've always wanted a 2013 pipe. I think I'd actually prefer a 2041 as an all-rounder.. I dunno'. I've found a deal on a 2013. How good is it as an allrounder? I have a couple of RB Fires, an Alpha .23, a modded Nova Beat B5, and a couple others.. Runtime is not a concern. I just want power and fun.. I hear the 2013 has a great sound. But does it completely kill top end?(I like top end......)

I also have a 2058 btw, and to me it practically seems like a bottom end pipe... Engines seem to top out pretty quickly with them. I like it - a lot, but it's not what I would call a shrieky screamer of a pipe.. I guess the 2013 is even more of a bottom end pipe, but I don't know, maybe it's just so awesome I have to have one...

Werks 03-02-2015 12:31 PM

I would hesitate to call a 2058 a bottom end pipe. It has a lot of power across the board which gets it to max rpm pretty quick which may be why you are saying it seems to top out pretty fast but that's not the pipe topping out, it's the pipe getting the engine to top out quickly. The 2013 is what I consider a power pipe, it has more power across the RPM range than the 2058, so your engine will spool up even faster and should pull a little bit more RPM but the pipe is not as fuel efficient as the 2058 but runtime is not a concern to you.

Hi guys, changed the ceramic bearing and the engine is working awesome, however I noticed recently that there seemed to be play when I hold the flywheel and push it and pull it, and the flywheel is tightened all the way up. is this normal?

Werks 03-10-2015 11:00 AM

There is allways a little bit of play in the bearings. Just make sure that when you install the collet and flywheel that you gently pull the crank forward to snug it up as you seat the collet. You do not want ot pull hard as you will put a load on the bearings, just be gently, hold the engine with exhaust facing rearwards in the palm of your hand and using your thumb and index finger push the crank forward, with your other hand slide the collet down against the inner bearing race.

If I can sell my heli I'm gonna be building a truggy using the b5. would the 2013 and light werks clutch be the go to setup or would the 2058 be a better option? The b6, 2058 and light clutch is a beast in my buggy but I know a truggy is a whole different creature.

Probably depend on track layout.
The 2013 will give more bottom end, but less top and less run time - suit a short tight track.
2058 will still have great bottom end, just not as staunch as the 2013, however you will get increased top end and around 40 sec more run time.
All our customers here run the 2058 on their B5's and love it (the 2013 is not legal here for racing).
Hope that helps with your decision.

With the B5 and pretty much all the tracks around here, the 2058 will be plenty. If you want to try a 2013 before you buy one, let me know. I have 2 and you can use one until you make up you mind. But there is a reason they are not installed anymore:sneaky: And its not because they are broken....

thanks jerm, i'm gonna roll with the 2028. i need to decide on the light or super light clutch for it. even on the b6 it still has more than enough bottom end for me and looks like it will go a 10 minute main without fueling plus i'm switching to the werks fuel also. i need to find you next time i'm down there, i didn't really do much meet and greet while i was there on season opener, got a little overwhelmed getting everything ready.

The light flywheel will be just fine. But if you buy a kit truck, I would just use the one that comes with it....

We are thinking of going up to Awesome's season opener this weekend. Should be a decent turn out if the weather holds....

shein95 03-30-2015 11:03 AM

I have to see how big the honey do list is for the weekend but would love to go. Need to see if my pit guy can go too.

shein95 04-09-2015 11:57 AM

I'm 5 tanks in on my break in and it runs around 160-170 until about mid tank then it starts to lean out creeping up to just over 200 and I shut it down because it was still climbing. Just putting around doing figure 8s. Will a longer fuel hose help keep it more level through the tank?
