The Werks 2058 pipe is just a real nasty pipe. Makes motors sound great and perform great.

Man , I just love this set up .... Have 3 practice days on it now . B5pro , 2058 pipe, and a mugen clutch with 1 carbon shoe in a mbx7tr . Doing laps with High end (price) engines and I don't seem to be giving up anything to them ... just a animal. Couldn't be happier with the money spent here , especially if it lasts. 4 gallons is the number in my head , if I go over that its just a bonus

Hell yeah it is. I got mine ready for this weekend at the tiltyard. I'm over 4 gallons on mine so at this point it owes me nothing.

Glad you are liking it! Unless you suck dirt or something like that 4 gallons is not going to be an issue. Normal life on these is 6-9 gallons under racing conditions, just like the rest of our engines and what you should see with any other top level engine!

Good luck this weekend at the tiltyard, let us know how things go!

Thanks Ron, I will need it for sure. This will be the biggest event I've attended. Hopefully I will have good news to report Monday. So far there are 28 pre entries in the truggy class so I'll some work to do.

Well I didn't finish as high as I would have liked but no fault of the engine. I finished second in the C main bumping into the B where I would end up 10th. The engine was a rocket and getting incredible mileage. Was able to finish the 10 minute c main with no fuel stops and only one stop for the 20 minute B. Not a bad day for such a strong field. Next race will be at my home track so won't have to worry about learning the track like this weekend.

Congrats on the results, it sounds like you had your tune spot on and your engine was singing!

Hi Ron.
I have got some help from you and this thread before so I'm keep coming back.
I have three B5's and two of them is running great.

Before a big race I take all three engines and reset the needles and do a full tune of them.
The two first ones was no problem and I got a good tune on them with new plugs and all.
The last one not so much. :D
My B5 Pro is having some issues I think, and I can't for the life of me get it in order.
I have made a video showing it.

Check to make sure your fuel tank lid is all the way down and sealed, no holes in fuel line or pressure line, also check the nipple on the pipe sometimes they get carbon built up and can result in inconsitent pressure which will mess with the tune especially at idle. Make sure all your gaskets on your manifold/pipe are good too.

E1 Diablo 08-21-2016 06:44 AM

^^^

What he said. I bet you have a leak somewhere. Tear in gasket, pressure line, tank, etc.

I'd be surprised if you don't randomly flameout on a track.

Klimpen717 08-21-2016 08:44 AM

I have two other engines that runs fine in the same car so anything from the car-side is ruled out.
No flameouts during racing either. I checked the nipple on the pipe and no trouble there either and new pressure line.
Thanks guys for helping, it's starting to get to me... *smile*

Perhaps you got a small bit of trash in the carb while switching? Making the mixture change as it wiggles around.
