9 sounds a little low, have you tried our 2013 on it yet?

From what I understand the break in video is being worked on. I'm sure that as soon as it is available a link will be put up. In the interim the break in guide is still available in my first post on this thread.

Regards,

Ron

Yes i have copies of the break in guide and all the importants guides for the engines that would help in case i run into problems. But a nice Break- in video which no company has made would be helpful also.

I've been out of the country so I have no idea what is going on with the video other than in talking to him the other day Mo mentioned that it was done but he was waiting on some link or something like that. I'm sure that as soon as it is done, someone will let you know and give you a link to it.

Help

Can someone help me out... I might be doing something wrong. I bought a Werks B5 and i also have the werks 2013 pipe. Im trying to do the break-in on the engine following Rons method but for some reason when i turn on the engine... The wheels are going backward as if i have reverse which i dont. Why is this happening? Also when the wheels are moving the correct way... sometimes i get alot of fuel coming out from the carb ( i didnt have the filter on like Ron described to do on the first tank ) . Why is that? I also had fuel escaping from the head... one of the screw was loose. I tighten the screw so i shouldnt have any problem there i hope.

I have the needles flush and but i turn the Idle stop screw in 1 1/2 turns in. Then i turn on the motor. Thats when im having those problems. Any help will be appreciated.

This happens sometimes when the engine is WAY rich.... It will actually start itself in reverse...
I haven't had it happen to my B5 or B6, but did happen with my VSPEC when I was breaking that in.

If it happens, take the plug out, give it a tiny burst on the starter box to get the fuel out of the engine, then put the plug back in, it'll start normal straight away.

You DO want it rich, but the only place you should see fuel, is little splats coming out the exhaust. You might have it a bit to extreme :)

Sounds like your starter is goin the wrong way

eighter box is backwards, or as mentiond above its so rich that the "hydrolocks" for a slipt second and backfires the engine into running backwards...not rocket science has happend to me more then once. just shut it down and spin the engine over on the box for a couple seconds without the ignitor and then try it again.

Double Check your clutch make sure every thing is in good working order my friend runs a hobby shop and a customer bought a losi 2.0 rtr and the same thing was happening engine was running but wheels where goin backwards we thought the same thing maybe the starter box was wired backwards. It was the clutch it was missing a part! :)

Werks 10-19-2010 03:35 PM

AJP165, did you ever figure out what was going on?

ajp165 10-19-2010 03:42 PM

Nah i check my clutch and everything is right. I also checked my starter box and its turning the wheel the way it supposed too. Im not sure whats going on. Maybe is too rich?

I stuck this up on the B6 thread but thought that I'd also post it here.

For all of the team guys that have been asking for them for a while I'm happy to say that we now have Werks Racing T-shirts in stock! We have L, XL , XXL and XXXL in high quality Hannes Beffy-T's. The shirts have out our large molten logo on the back (Large molten W logo with Werks Racing written under it) and a small version of the same logo on the front over the left chest. We have shirts available in the following colors:

Black
Cardinal (a deep red/wine color, looks really neat!)
Deep Navy (a really neat dark blue that looks almost black)
Fatigue Green (looks kinda like an olive green color for the military look)

I went with some cool, popping colors for our first run to be a little different than the typical white T thing. If you would like to get an order in shoot me over an e-mail and I'll get you taken care of!

Regards,

Ron
