both of mine had a hair of play butwhen i tightened the flywheel it was good to go if after installing the clutch then it may be a problem..
I realize the guy is no dummy and this is known, also I can add that my last motor had zero play but when I took the backplate off the red anodizing was worn off..
I know that Werks isnt out to get anyone I would say run it and if its wrong it will be taken care of..

Thanks Mo! While it might sound a little cliche, what he is saying is true. I'm not out to do the pump and dump. Any one that has ever dealt with me will probably tell you that I firmly believe in taking care of my customers. The reality of the matter is I'd love for you to try one of our engines and then hopefully be so happy with the experience that you try one of our clutches or maybe a gallon of our fuel or one of our other products. We've been around for nine years now and I'm happy to say we've grown year after year. I have not been able to do that by burning my customers.

I think that it's important to know that when you spend your hard earned money (and with today's economy every penny that we have is hard earned) that the company that you spend it with values you as a customer. As I mentioned it is my personal goal to make the best products possible, products that as a racer I would want to use my self! I started this business because I was not happy with the stuff that I could buy and I was definitely not happy with the way that I was being treated by the companies who's products that I used. Frankly I felt like they could not give a you know what if I was happy with the stuff they made after they got my money. The end result of the way they did business was they ended up getting me, a hopefully worthy competitor. I have no desire to have battle some one like me lol! So having said that if any of you guys ever have a problem with our stuff, you know the person that's behind the business. This is my baby, this is my name that's on the line. Post on here, send em a mail or give me a call and I will do everything within my abilities to make sure that you are taken care of in a satisfactory matter. If you are happy then I hope that you will continue to support us as a business as well as those other companies that support you as a valued customer!

Now back to B5 talk! Anyone else recently gotten some time in on their engines or have any feedback regarding pipe testing?

Yeah I was going to try the Werks 30% but no hobby shop around here sells it and I can't afford to have it shipped in. Oh well Byrons will have to work =D. I'll do some timed runs on thursday night at rev. try some other pipes maybe if I'm feeling up to it. I'm going there to work on the car not the engine . So if all goes well that's the way it will be! Anyone going to be out there?

Interesting, I just sent a pallet of fuel down to Revelations or I should say AirLand Hobbies about 6 weeks ago, did they sell out already? Also as far as guys being our their I spoke to Kortz this evening and he should be out there Thursday or possibly Friday doing some testing to gear up for this weekends Nitro House race at Revelations. Alternatively if you are out there this weekend feel free to hit up Chad Bradley if you need some help, you run a Jammin car and he also runs for us for fuel so I'm sure that he would be more than happy to help you with anything that you might need.

Oh. I never knew they sold fuel! I lied when I said I checked everywhere. I checked everywhere but there. I never really looked in there. I walk in and walk out. Usually I know what I need and walk out I never looked around =P. That's a pretty decent drive for me buy Ill just buy a gallon when I get there I guess. Saves me from making a special trip. Thanks. I guess that shows being too lazy to make a phone call doesn't pay off.

AIrland sells Byrons, O'Donnell, Losi, and Werks fuel.
They also sell tires, bodies, paint...a lot of stuff.

Even pizzas and hot pockets:D

I can attest to that. I bought a B7 Pro .21 a couple years back and the engine wound up with rear bearing failure after 1 gallon of Werks 30% through it. I sent the engine in for the boys at Werks to look at, and they rebuilt it and sent it back to me as a warranty repair! Try to get this kind of service from O.S. Not happening. Normally, a race engine has no warranty what so ever. I sure appreciated the help from Werks with that engine though.

I've been buying nothing but Werks fuel and Werks engines ever since.

Oh, one other thing the boys and myself (who run Werks fuel) at our local track have noticed. Our engines last longer running on Werks 30% race fuel. Even though the oil content is like 8 or 10% (can't remember exactly what it is), it must be better quality oil or something because we've noticed a definite improvement in engine life. We were just talking about this at our last race, actually.

It's great stuff. Engines run cooler and last longer. We've got a couple years experience up here in Canada with Werks fuel now, and it's good.

smb17 09-01-2009 11:01 PM

No I ment airland hobbies! I never knew airland sold fuel! I was always starring at the food!!!! I never took a good look in there. Alan you be out there thursday?

Alan D. 09-01-2009 11:05 PM

Yup, I can make the trip.

smb17 09-01-2009 11:23 PM

Oh cool. I'll most likely be there! not making any garantees but I'll do my best! Do you have a picture of your buggy? D8 right? I guess it would be the only D8 with a B5

Alan D. 09-01-2009 11:27 PM

It's a D8, but I didn't get my order in early enough to get a B5. It's dark green (kinda like an austin martin) with a yellow wing. I'll wear the hot bodies shirt (bright red) so you can find me.

smb17 09-01-2009 11:44 PM

aiight man. Sounds good. I might be stuck changing shock oil I went pretty soft to try it out =p I got the B5 strapped in with the big boy pipe so you can sort of check out what you ordered i guess  So i'll prolly be the only jammin with a b5. I've showed you my car before. Did they change the track at all for the nitrohouse race? I know sometimes it takes them a while to update their site.

OK BACK TO THE B5 TALK!!

Werks 09-03-2009 11:22 AM

Hey guys just wanted to let you know that I have some 2056 and 2057 pipe sets in route for Kortz to do some testing with. Should have some feedback on these in about a week and will post it on here! Also for any of you that are in Southern California I spoke to Kortz this morning and he is headed to Revelations to start breaking in a new motor and do some testing for the Nitro House race there this weekend. So if your going to be at Revelations and want to see the B5 run or if you need some help tuning your engine do not hesitate to stop by and introduce your self to him!
