Haven't seen the alpha's up this way, so no comment there. I suggest trying the pipe to see if it takes well to the engine, if it works let us know. If not let us know and spend about $50 on a Dynamite 086, or $90+ for a reckward 2041. I believe the nova 9886 and 9901 also work well if you have one laying around.

On a side note EB Mods JS race prepped and EB Mods 30% race blend= #6 Overall Great Lakes RCPS Pro Buggy.:)

Sammy let me start by saying thank you very much for the purchase of the JS engine, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. As for a comparison to the Alpha engine, I'm not really sure since I have no experience with that particular engine. I can say that the JS engine will give you Great Usable Power, Runtime, Reliability, and Quality that matches any engine on the market. The Stock JS will hold it's own to any $200-$600 engine

:)

losi_sammy 08-29-2010 03:28 AM

hey guys just wondering what the stock carb settings are for this engine cheers

Greg B 08-29-2010 08:35 AM

That's some ugly carnage.
JS was awesome yesterday. Still running the original glow plug. I love the feel of the powerband. Very smooth and under control.
I have run alot of engines but this is hands down, the best engine I have pulled trigger on.
This engine has made me a better driver.

gdux 08-29-2010 04:58 PM

Wow the diff got nuked:eek:

EB JS race preps went 1-3 in a 12 car field in buggy, and 1st in truggy at Mcculloughs this weekend... Impressively in both classes! I won buggy, and Ron G won truggy... Ron and I had no less than 6 regular racers approach wanting to know what engine it was that looked/sounded so good, they are spreading like wildfire in W Pa.

Greg B 08-29-2010 05:29 PM

Where are you guy's buying your EB Mods fuel ?

james wong 08-29-2010 06:42 PM

JS engine manufacture enquiry.

The LHS about 10-15 minutes from the track (Pro4mance Hobbies) stocks it at the shop and at the track, this is where the locals are getting it. I'm really impressed with the fuel and the Engine, the 2 together make for a smooth yet snotty rpm range from bottom to top. It deffinitely has a foreign deep growl to it's braaaap.

Anyone looking for a Race Prepped at a Really good price check this out: http://tkocompetitiondev.com/product...roducts_id=484

rallyebmx 08-29-2010 08:46 PM

Just to add to that too....... the run time these engines get is on par or best of the best! There is not a single track this year where I didnt make a 10 min pit in buggy. That includes the fuel- brutal Blue Diamond:tire:

I have now gone to a big venturi and still made 10 min pits so far:nod::D

dave1959 08-30-2010 11:34 AM

awesome js engine

if you use an aplus femca 801 pipe on this engine in a truggy it is a devistating engine i have this in an XUT Truggy and this really makes this trugy fly .
i have a toro nero by novarossi and i think the js is a better engine IMO only tho.

Greg B 08-30-2010 01:06 PM

In my opinion, anything has become better than Novarossi. Customer support has become very lame at best and they seem to be relying on the name to keep them going. Since the release of the 21+4, quality has really gone down and the price has went way up. Alot of Nova fans still pay the price for the same tom foolery.
Considering the performance and price, a man would be foolish to spend money for the name when the JS beats most in this area. While going from track to track, most people would be better off running a drivable engine than anything else.

jbright33 08-30-2010 03:07 PM

all i know is my js was walking around a modded fms last race.

Really? Who's FMS wound that be exactly? Because the MOTOR i think your making reference to" WALKING AROUND" passed you on lap 3 before you started having "Rock issues" and of the first 9 laps the only one you were faster was lap #1. Said motor also had an 18 second lead on second place when a Marshall decided to throw a lapped truggy across the strait away in front of me at WOT!! And for the record that Motor was a Stock js piston and sleeve that was shot from having rod pieces go through it with next to no compression, (which it lost in a main) that i threw together in an fms case just so i could try and run truggy that weekend. Also for the record you finished 4 laps down in 6th place contradictory to other posts. So what you "know" and thing you know are 2 totally different things.
On a side note if any of you guys have a fms crank and block laying around you might wanna try a JS PSR in it.Mine ran quite well and as i stated earlier my P/S was shot when i assembled the combination. A fresh PSR in an fms block and crank may make a very nice little combo;) And yes jbright your full modd JS ran very well :tire:

Where can i buy eb mods fuel? I try to buy it on his website but he wants a company name. I am not a company of course, and i cannot find anyone else who sells it.

please no one try and use JS Racing parts as a direct replacement for any engines other than JS Racing. If you have any questions or would like information on custom modified engines please call or email myself or Ed at EBMods.

I'll get the online store updated today to fix this problem. If you have a local Hobby Shop that you deal with you can always forward Joe or myself the contact info and we will gladly give them a call. Thanks for the interest in the fuel :)

EBMods 08-31-2010 08:15 AM

Stock JS engines are now street pricing for $200.00, check A Main Hobbies and Absolutehobbyz for this new reduced price. I lowered my dealer cost on Stock engines to get this lower street price. Race Prepped and Full Mod engine pricing is still the same.

My cost from the factory has stayed the same. I reduced my dealer cost to help the racers in a very tough economy who want a $200 engine. Being a racer myself and having lots of friends who race, believe me I know it's tough for everyone all around. The Stock JS engine for $200 holds it's own to any engine on the market, meaning the best of the best.

Dave thanks for the feedback. I have not personally tested that pipe, but have heard from other people the same thing you posted. Maybe I should pick one up for testing.. ;)

BTW: JS will have pipes VERY soon, we have been testing serveral new pipe designs.

Hello James, it's really a combination of a multi-country manufacturing process. JS Racing uses several companies to make items, some factories are in China, Taiwan, and Malaysia (JS Factory)

Develop: JS Racing is from Malaysia, and I'm from the USA, so I guess you can say it's a Malaysia/USA design. Although the JS Factory should get most of the credit :)

NP Ed. :)
For a point of referrence in words...
I have run the pipeset on one of Chad's ET FM .21s a few times this year, and looks like I'll be running this combo at Chaplin too. To compare between the 2013 and 2057 on those specific engines, I would say it provides the best of both worlds. Near the bottom end of the 13, yet solid pull through the top, and comparable, maybe slightly less run time to the 57. If Joe changes his mind and does show for RCP, or either of you come to Wolcott either of the two coming weeks, feel free to look me up. :)

your welcome

=EBMods;7879195]Dave thanks for the feedback. I have not personally tested that pipe, but have heard from other people the same thing
as you saw i run a GS XUT and these truggy's are a bit heavier than some and if you try that APlus pipe you really won't be dissapointed it makes it absolutly haul butt so as my other engines quit i will be running JS in both buggy and truggy.
Thanks for a really great engine.
in New Zealand these engines are NZ $300 and is a really great price for a top engine Keep it up guys
thanks
Dave

Sytsma Continues To Dominate The Northeast.

Hot off his double win from 2 weeks ago at Blue Diamond Racing Park for the 2nd round of RC Pro, Chris Sytsma dominates the buggy class Sunday at Barnstormers Rc for the 2nd round of NESS. Way to go Chris!
