I've tried posting this in the +4 thread, but i guess its better posting it in your thread, since its you i would like an answer from.:)
I have been doing some research, and found that the rear bearing(16800) is 14x25,8x6,and the front bearing(17011) is 7x19x6,3. My problem is that i cant find anyone besides Novarossi that makes that size (front) bearing. I would like to have ceramic bearings when its time to change. Houston, if you can help, i will much appreciate your answer. i use tko bearings for my replacements peter distributes quality products you can use CB-MR 25814 and CB-607C-2RS for replacements , the new double shield front novarossi bearing is the best on the market at the moment though  |

that front bearing is only made to be 6.3mm on the inner race as to alleviate the need for a spacer behind the collet ;)

here is a testimonial,
thank you very much Monty for your knowledge sharing, I just broke in a Novarossi N21BF Limited and all I can say is WOW, really blown away by this little sucka. While I was on the track all I kept gettin is "what motor is that?", and "that motor looks great!". Once I mentioned its the $150 nova, it just shocked the gawkers. Also, your recommended Odonell 100 plug is tha shitz. As soon as I got to the track, a buddy asked me for a plug, he's got 2 gallons on his N21BF, I gave him a ODO 100 and said I haven't run it yet but heard it was the plug to run in humid midwest summer time. He mentioned he hoped not to be chasing the tune for the rest of the afternoon w/ the new plug, I told him just try it. He came back 20 minutes later giving much thanks and saying Idles better and was running 20 degrees cooler. During my break-in, the Nova #6 that came with the engine only lasted till the second tank on the track (I keep it a little fat on break in) I went to the ODO 100 and all I can say is thank you Monty for sharing your wisdom on the Novarossi mills. Every bit of info I've gotten from this thread is 100% accurate. Thank you for sharing what you know Monty. |

Monty,
which came first, Plus 21-5K or P5X? |
Monty,
Give a call tomorrow if you can, 361-877-3033. I need to get a new mill, +4 or FMS? Thanks, Jon |
I have a Picco Evo 3 P7 .21 on my buggy. My motor has a bad bog i can not get rid of. It will run OK between 190-210 degrees, as soon as i go over that it gets worse. Now after i finished my break in, i was racing on my track and my filter came off and drove it for about 30 ft. I tore the motor down cleaned it out and it seem to run fine to me(These piccos have a tight fitting sleeve). But lately I've noticed it has a slight bog. Now the piston goes up to about 1/8inch away from the top of the sleeve. I check the clutchs and they look fine.:flaming:
I need your input Monty. Tyler |

I need your input Monty. Tyler i have had one filter come off in all my years and it just happened recently , i have since started using air seal to couple the carb neck boot and the air filter assembly:cool: if your piston goes up past the area in the sleeve where the piston stroke goes when fully assembled when you have the piston and sleeve out of the block then you have definitely lost compression . if it was a fairly new engine i would say to send it to raya racing cause he will work some magic on it  some engines are very efficient and only run at those cool temps without acting too lean . monty |

Hi Monty
what do you think about the age-old technique of breaking-in the engine with an older (not washed-out, mind you) conrod and then replace it when "bad" pinch is finally gone? thanks, Paul |
Monty - just wanted to let you know that the n21bf limited that I got from
you is awsome, the power from this little mill is great. Your service is great, anyone needing a motor would be very wise to contact MONTY!! james - louisiana |
