Yeah, What he said!:ha:

Hey, I clearly stated that I didn't know nova bearings. Sometimes I should just watch and say nothing. I'm not that guy tho. I admit when I'm wrong or proved wrong. That's me man. Can't help it. My point was valid, just not the point....

peace bro....

That is why I come to HES so I can learn new things, never did I think in a million years that running rich would blow out a bearing, well a little rich, as with race engines you can definitely wash out your bearings if you are running way too rich.

Monty, still haven't answered my question, how did you do at the race?

good! We have a race in two weeks at my old track, so it sounds like I will have to run the OS for that race :( Can't wait to try some Huston tuned madness

A few people have been asking me what engines I am going to run since they heard I have been trying to get both of the local HS to order Fusion engines, it sounds like it is dependent on how the racers feel about the engine after I get a hold of one. Vietnam is funny, they want to either play as cheap as possible or as expensive as possible and they always follow the leader, or follow the new thing. No one will admit it but at the last race I saw 6 Buku clutches:lol: and when I showed everyone mine they all said it was too expensive and not worth it. When I bought a B2 they changed a track so I couldn't make one of the jumps into a triple without crashing, so I expect once I get a x3 lightning it will be no different, especially when they realize it has the Novarossi quality and how well it can preform.

You can't blame a motor for failing due to your lack of attention to maintenance and proper tuning. If you would have checked your front bearing on a regular basis you wouldn't have ran it until it went completely out.

On another note, if you would send it back to Monty I'm sure he could help you out. My X3 ate a plug and the coil went thru the motor at 1 gallon, the inside was scared up, ate rear bearing, and I figured it was done. Sent it to Monty, he worked his magic and I have about 5 gallons on it now. Still running strong!

Instead of flaming HES on this world wide forum why don't you just contact him and see if there is anything he can do for you. Just remember he is a racer just like all of us and if you don't get in touch with him the first time you try there is probably an explanation for it.

Monty goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy.

+ 1 Mine ate plug and Monty fixed it and it still running good.

jeromerc 02-26-2013 06:58 AM

No doubt, Monty always seems to go the extra mile. I remember a post a guy landed on the crest of a jump breaking the case and that in NO way was a manufacturer error and Monty sent out a new case, I don't even think he bought the engine from him. also he has helped me numerous times when my cody king Orion was givin me hell. I might think differently than most, but you always get good ones and sometimes a bad one, but if you didn't know the bearing went out then you need to check more often. every gallon I pull the flywheel off and check my engine, I might not pull it all the way apart but I always look at the front bearing and my clutches.

What the reasson for the glowplug going out?

houston 02-26-2013 07:27 AM

thanks guys

Mud guts , dave watts is your rep , any and all issues you might have should be directed at him

Its always a touchy situation dealing with international warranty

If im made aware of any issue and i get the parts/pieces back to make the determination that it is or isnt a warranty issue it usually gets taken care of as timely as possible

Happy motorin',
Monty
