Yup. Had a nova c5tgc filament go through my FMX7 with 1 gallon through it. The plug had about 20 min on it also. Not too happy bout that at all. I have a pretty much brand new x7 that is now useless.:cry::cry:

Monty
Plus 4 ran awesome today! The 2096 pipe is the bomb. Bottom end seemed more potent yet smoother then the 2058 I was running. And the top just seemed to want to keep reving right down the straight. In fact it felt like an electric motor. Temps were 240 to 250 all day long, even after a 20 minute main. And not the mention run time was some where in the ball park of upper 12 minutes maybe even 13 :-)

Does anyone have a package from the faulty plugs that you could post a pic of? I think they've had different colors and they may of had a bad run or something. The ones I've been using have a light blue package and no problems.

Mine have also had the light blue packaging and have been fine. They came from Monty, A-main, and Absolute.

It seems to be the hot nova plugs that do this..(c5) blue packaging for mine as well. Honestly, I think the older plugs in the gold packaging have treated me better than the newer blue packaged plugs. But still better than the Odonnell.

Good stuff man! How far off was it from the "street" tune?

Monty,

You missed out on a good race at the new A Main Hobbies track. Traction for days, hard on tires though. Slicks even worked. LOL.

One of the best facilities for racing I have been to. Track size isn't too big or too small. 100x200 I think.

Anyway,
Had a pretty good time. Had the pace and speed if I could keep a clean run going. It's racing though. The Houston Especial was working just awesome. Wasn't trying to kill it this time. LOL.

You know the set up. Ran an OD97T all weekend and only retuned a couple hours on the top and maybe 1 hour on the bottom to get me right from Reno racing. Dialed it was.Felt real good and had plenty of power and speed.

In the main I went for 10 minute pits, as I was way back after the first lap pile up. Made the 30 minute main in two stops comfortably. Didn;t really help get me back to a podium spot, but was very good.

You'll have to make a trip there sometime. Not sure what (if any) changes will be made after this weekend, but there's a few tweaks that I think the A Main crew has their eyes on. Hear there will be a Worlds warm up race event there end of October.

Thanks again man for all that you do. Oh, and Frank beat me in the main. I'll get him next time for sure. LOL.
