Hey guys,
Hey Monty,
i saw your name on one of the mains from the nitro challange, was it the Z main ???
just kidding.
well i raced my HES P5 last friday for our 5th race. the temp that day was wierd because midday the temp was around 90F and when the Amain's time arrived, the temp dropped to 65F. engine ran like a champ at 240F all day long and qualified 2nd for the Amain. after 4 or 5 practice laps before the Amain, the temp was 220, so i richened the engine (stupid thing of me) to be in the safe side for the 45minutes Amain. well the car flamed out of fuel at 7 minutes because of my bad tune judgment. restarted, retune and hit the track again, still in the rich side, repit, retune and back again. after a flame out and 2 unwated pit stops, i was one and a half laps behind the leader and was in 7th place. it took me a while to get to 3rd position and then to 2nd with a lap behind. arriving to the last lap, i was 2 seconds under and man what a stupid mistake i did by flipping on one of the easiest sections of the track but what the Hell, this is racing.
i finished in 2nd place with a very good best lap time, changing from my Plus 4 to Monty's P5, i shaved 1.5 secs of my season's best lap time.
i ran it with a 3005 pipe, 7mm rist and a stock Losi clutch, the bottom end is crazy fast and response is crazy fasta, the top (well i dont know since i finished on the rich side)
Monty i love the engine and i think i'm getting another one for this years WC

cheers
Ali
