is there anything else you can think of that would cause the hard starting issue like i said i am not quite as worried about the runtime and i agree there is probably nothing wrong except the cold and richer settings but what else could cause hard start? new glow plug fully charged ignitor new fuel line what else is there

Pre-Heating a motor...even a well broken in one will benefit...you can go hammer on it a lot sooner then the guy next to you who has to go from bone cold to running temp while your already 1/2 way there if not more. |

I was not preheating the engine i can admit that. could that have been all it was? because like i said once running nothing on the track could touch this engine
so you like the engine then ? ;) |

the 5 port i haven't used in the last couple of weeks since i haven't been able to replace that o-ring yet. still haven't received it in the mail :(. hopefully it gets here this week so i can use it to race this weekend. but yea, the power on the thing is awesome. that crank that you put in made a noticeable difference. something happens in the midrange on that engine where it just suddenly starts pullinnngg craazy. :D |

some of that added shimming for more fuel economy and smoother response.
Will adding shims make a better mileage? Cheers |
