I am running a Mc9 plug I believe-any suggestions? Kinda sounds like a cracked block , not 100% sure but .......... Remember , more often than not it is usually something else besides actual engine problemsif you have everything right with the engine . Also , novarossi engines don't really need any airseal , if you have an airleak you more than likely pushed the carb straight in with no lubrication and ripped the lower oring that makes the block to carb seal . Replace with part # 14002 , that is a very important oring . |
P5x
Monty,
I also have a P5X Hot Mod. I have a dyn 086 and a ofna 053 pipe. Which one works best with this engine? I have only run it with the 086 thus far and it runs well but want to know if there is something better for this engine. Thanks Dan |
Hey Monty the new N21BF 3-Port what pipe and header combo is working best?

How fresh is the engine ? Do the temps go up after the tank ? I don't much like the mc9 plug (mc8) but highly doubt that's the problem.

Thanks Dan the dyn 086hs (mainly buggy but works very well in truggy also)pipeset makes excellent power throughout the whole powerband with great top , the ofna 053 (mainly truggy but some like for the buggy as well) makes more bottom to mid with a little less top but increased runtimes . hope this helps ya Dan, monty i personally prefer 086/9886 on most all my race engines , the 053/9853 is my second choice and 1st if runtime is the deciding factor . |
