Hey Monty, know you are getting ready to leave but got a question for you.
I know you said to use Bryons 30-11 fuel and I do, but a guy just gave me a gallon and a half of 30-9, is it a additive I could ad to boost the oil or should I just trash the 9%. I had a ideal to mix my 9 with the 11 and have 30-10! I was thinking of Bryon's Lube Booster!

Anyway have a great trip!!!

Its just fine joe , the difference between the two is pretty minimal really

Hi OfnaJoe

If you run that low oil percent, you should avoid lean settings. There are close to no oil left inside the engine, if you open the engine after a run with the right needle settings.
If you are not 110% sure on how to tune an engine, I would suggest you to put a little castor oil in the bottle. To 3,8 liter (1 gallon) of fuel you should add 75 ml castor. That will give you approximate 2% extra oil. Your conrod will LOOOVE the castor :)

Cheers

Thanks Monty, and lil bro. I can tune a engine, just wanting to take extra care of this one.

I got a great deal on some Byrons 30/9 and, like you, wanted a little more insurance in the lubrication department. I mixed in some Klotz castor oil using this online calculator:

http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lan...calculate1.asp

You can find the Klotz at most motorcycle shops. It worked great and provided just a little extra margin of protection.

Dude, Thanks I just got back from a little road trip and stopped in a few hobby shops and picked up Klotz !!!!
I also thought about adding a little extra oil for engine break-in.But then again I got a feeling Monty is going to break my next new engine in too!!
Hurry up Christmas!!!!!
