Byrons Race 3000 for break-in. If you are good at tuning an engine, then pro 3000 if not then continue using Race 3000, IMO..

Why "if you are good at tuning"?

I have had tuning issues for most of my engine life to date at 4.5 gallons, however I recently switched from Byrons Race 20 to 30 and find the engine way easier to tune.

Prodriver 3000 has less oil (9%), hence more chance fo engine damage if you go too lean..

Race 3000 has 11% oil, and is a bit more forgiving.

I figured they would come in stock when I'm broke.. Oh Well I'm not racing much ATM anyway..

I concur, it doesn't hurt to have a little more oil for break in, especially for a novice or inexperienced engine person. 9% is ample oil however for break in, especially with the Klotz package Byron has...

Just picked up #60.... time for the break in.

Whats the runtime like on the CRF ABI 3 port?

OleC 05-26-2011 12:12 AM

I got my hands on a 2058 pipe for my CRF 21 engine and raced it last weekend.

WOW! That changed the engine completely!

I've used the 2057 with and without the extender for the manifold, and was relatively happy with it. But I cant belive how the 2058 lifted this engine on to a whole new level of driveability and power. Smooth as silk and TONS of power!

Cant wait to try it on my new Discovery 5P

So thanks a lot to everyone giving me a heads up on what this pipe does to the TO engines

I've seen 11+ on a fairly small, but very technical track, from a friend of mines.. Fuel Mileage as everyone well knows depends so much on the track and driving style of the driver.

10 should be pretty easy though..

It's a great pipe. We discovered this during Nats last year while testing for Worlds. We knew we couldn't use the 2013, so we were trying a bunch of stuff knowing we had to use something different. The 2058 is the closest thing to hitting the 2013 power with a little quieter sound. A little smoother too..

j_blaze14 05-26-2011 07:08 PM

2056 work? its supposed to be smoother with better runime than the 2013
