That engine is very powerful, IT is a little bit pricey but I think its worth the price. ps I cant afford it so bought an old but NEW Team orion crf 3 port.

Me and a friend bought a team pack at team orion shop for $770, one 321 Factory, one RS and the free racing 321 plus the 2-2058's and 3 plugs.

Considering the 321 racing was free and and the pipes too, our engines cost $385.
We sold the racing 321 in $280 and the final price for our engines with the 2058's was $245 each. Ridiculously cheap.

I broke in the RS and has around 15 tanks.
I though i was going to have a lack of low end, well i was wrong, it is plenty of low end and as 3 port engine the top end also would not be so impressive, well again, i was wrong.

I am impressed with this engine.
Waiting my friend to break in his 321 factory to compare them on the track.

Just had my first race with Orion 521. Awesome mill.. Ran a 10 mins heat with no pit and temp for the engine is around 110-120..

so far so good.. total gallon is about 2 now.. There is another race this weekend, hoping it will perform awesome once again.

Holy cow! Considering how competitive these mills are, they're dirt cheap if the shipping is included. And considering how spendy Novas are becoming, I think that Orion is definitely in my future.

I can vouch for the TeamOrion shop. Ordered a Factory Tuned 321 w/ pipe set and it took 6 days to get here. Plus, they were extremely helpful in answering all my questions. As a matter of fact, some guy, Renaud Savoya, responded to all my emails.

What glow plugs is everyone using in the Team Orion Alpha motors?

Thanks.

Anyone got any ideas what are the bearings size use in the orion engines?

Just did a 2nd race with the 521.. Awesome power like the 1st race. Manage a 9 minute pit. Loving this engine so far. Just open the engine up for service and everything still looking good and healthy.

From the PNB i basically tuned all my bodies engines... Track Changed pretty much, humidity also ... So many engines become very inconsistent ... The RS from my friend was the easiest of all... Amazing power ( and we have the fx, speeds, reds and novas) never look at Orion until now... Impressive engine

Hi all. Great info here :)

I got the Alpha Orion CRF .21 Factory tuned. I have a question, do you guys have problems whit air leak at the glow plug hole on cooling head? I wonder if this can happen if you use a heat gun for preheating? also should i seal the carburator and backplate on this engine?

Thank you :)

I've had motors where some "leaked" there and some have not. Sorry that probably doesn't help, but regardless of how much i cranked down on the glow plug, the motors that leaked - still leaked.

As far as sealing, PITPOP did a great article in Velocity RC that showed how he sealed engines. He did seal the carb and the backplate, but it was much more involved than just sealing the neck. It was all the screws, the neck, and the fuel inlets. I'll see if I can find the article...

I understand. I tought it was wird that i had a leak with orion #5 turbo plug, but i think its my own fault. Preheating with heatgun and reach 100C / 220F in 20sec!

Can anyone tell me what the Alpha has to do with the team orion and what does this factory tuned mean?

Thank you :)
