Thanks for heads up, I took it completely apart. Rod isn't that bad actually. The rear engine bearing seems to have a lot of play in it. I think if I replace that I'll be good. I gotta figure out what size bearing to get for the rear engine bearing. Anyone know what size it is. I'll take it out and measure it. I would like to get another head if there cheap. Probably won't be able to find one.

Yes a C6 is what it probably came with stock.
Rex Any recommendations for a pipe in buggy |
Don't mean to be pedantic, but afaik RB had their own plugs which were not %100 identical to NR. Nevertheless, the NR C6 is best I think...

Hi have one also and it's a great engine.
I comes with a #5 so you should be able to get the run in and at least another couple of litres through it (4 litres total or 1 gallon) then go to a Nova #6 TGV offroad plug. Werks 2058 is what I have been running for a pipe and is great for run time and power. |

Hey how's it going guys, I have a rb bxr sls3 engine. I just cracked the top cooling head fan off and I took apart the engine to check the internals also. It looks like I need a new rod also. It has a lot of play in it and I don't wanna blow it up haha. Anyway does anyone know where I can get rb engine parts for this engine. Searched a little but I'm still at track now. I'm trying to see if it's worth replacing the parts or just start using another engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa gulp...
LOL.. Yeah. Oh well. |
I have a RB S7 MSC Year 2006
I just hope the engine does not break and lasts until there is no more compression. Because now there are no more parts to tell you if something breaks. |
the novarossi karma and mantra both share the square stroke of the ws7 series not sure of the outside diameter of the sleeve so parts may be available there. the novarossi drake motor is also packing RB parts(its a C5 I believe).
I bet Novarossi has a big stock of parts and we will see a few cheaper engines and maybe some expensive ones carrying RB parts in them. |

I bet Novarossi has a big stock of parts and we will see a few cheaper engines and maybe some expensive ones carrying RB parts in them. Quite possibly this can happen or it already happens. Because Novarossi's stock has RB parts stock they want to sell. Even on their cheaper motors. The Novarossi quality is there. |
On the other hand you will have a new Novarossi for the price of a P/S/R set for your WS7 (if you can find something that will fit)

Yes for 200 € or less I get a new Novarossi. I take the RB Procudtcs complete exhaust from my S7 MSC. |

Anybody want to buy a brand new never mounted RB Blast V15?
|
I think the Worlds S7 was purchased in the 90s. I need to check to make sure it's not rusted. . I kept it in a cool place with oil in the engine.

Ball Bearings for Nitro R/C Engines - NOVAROSSI WORLD
You probably need the 16009 The SLS is the super long stroke and in that time they did come with special bearings. If you are handy or know someone who is, you can modify the crankcase to fit normal bearings https://www.rctech.net/forum/onroad-...gs-virtus.html |
Rb yuukanai 1 engine tune?
Can someone please help bought this awesome engine but not to sure on tuning an no idea where it's at...... where would be a good starting point please if I was to turn it all back to closed. Thank you

Just as an update to previous questions on here and to clear something I have been asked a few times, the old RB 01122-C Con rod has now been superseded by the Novarossi 07014 Rod for anyone wanting to rebuild their old motors. This has been mentioned above but i dont think anyone ever gave the part number.

Afternoon all, hope your all well.
I'm new to this this forum, ive just finsidhed rebuilding my X1CRT pro which has the RB WS7 2 X3 engine. Its been a long time since it last run....maybe 8 years and im wondering whats glow plug to buy and the RB ones are impossible to purchase in the UK. Also unsure whether i need a standard or turbo plug?? Any guidance would be much appreciated |
nova 6 probably
|
The WS7 was a Novarossi based engine. Stock, they came with "standard" head, but a turbo head was an option. RB went out of business a while ago, so finding parts isn't easy... However, as far as plugs go, no need, as most standard plugs will fit. Like previously stated, a Novarossi standard "6" plug should be perfect, in colder weather (under 55* F) you might try a "5". There can be allot of other things that will effect your engine, but if you use a "6", it pretty much works all the time...
