Hey guys, I'm trying to rebuild an RB WS7II and I'm having a hard time finding a piston/sleeve/conrod for it. I have part numbers but it's sold out at every store. Anyone know where I can get a hold of this rebuild kit?
Are there any other sleeve/pistons from another engine that fit with little to no mods? Thanks. Junier. |

L2G head lowers the center gravity of the engine, more car performance, I noticed a big difference turning with the that head on my RB compared to my V-spec. As far as heat, my RB runs 30degs cooler than any of my V-specs ever did. So I dont know if its the engine design or the head. Getting rid of the engine heat has a lot to do with the body too.

Well I have never ran a 3, but my Jammin with a Jammin Body and my racing buddy's Losi's 8B and 8T with JConcept bodies, all have C6 engines and run around 200 unless the humidity is really high and then they run about 220.
Rule of thumb is how it sounds, runs, and a steady stream of smoke out the pipe, we always tune it that first and then temp and make sure its not running to hot. The problem with temping engines is you can use 12 different temp guns on the same engine and get 30degs of different readings. So I guess what I am trying to say is dont tune to temp, tune to performance and steady smoke, and check your tune with a temp gun. |
I agree with that 100%. I planned to do that this spring. I was running a 086 dynamite pipe so i'm wondering if that is why it seemed to be hotter. I have a RB 2045 with 98mm header. Im hoping this combination will be the right combo.

where did you find a C6 USA engine at, I still havent found one.
I work at my local hobbyshop and I placed a order for a C6 USA for a customer last week 3/19/09 with the fellow distributing RB's in the US. He said it was in stock. We recently became a authorized dealer with him. I will get back to you on this thread if and when we get it and a price of what they are going for. |

I havent been known to run alot of RB engines, but I got one last year and messed it up, so I decided to rebuild it to have a practice motor and I have to tell you I ran the new losi re11 pipe on the ws7 and holy chit thats a good combo, I think I ran an 086 and a jp-3 on it before and the re11 is a TON better. after break in still running fat went 10:45 in an mp-9. anyway just food for thought MO |

I have looked everywhere!!!! Where did you get the c6 us spec?
|
Has anyone ran RB's new line of engines? The B9, WS9, S9, H9, or J9? How do they preform to thier old line of engines? When will they be available, adn will they be cheaper or more expensive than their old line?

It turned this motor from a dog to something amazing. tuning seemed a little more delicate but dont know if the weather was the culprit. more time will tell.:D If anyone else has this motor/pipe combo laying around try and report your experience please. |
RE11 I have been told is like the old 2050 OS pipe, I have a brand new 2050 I will have to try on the 7 in my boy's car. Any other suggestions on the C6.

Is the new line of RB engines coming out soon, are they going to still sell the C6 as is?? or is it renamed (ie. B9)? |

does anyone have the part # for the screw that holds the carb on a ws7III? i left a message yesterday with RB but have not called back yet.

Hello Randy,
Here is a option that you can replace all the flat head screws with hex screws. I have these screws on one of my RB's and like it alot more then the flat heads. Less likely to strip. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/8954 |
thanks for the tip. does that screw set replace all screws on the RB

randy Hey Randy it's Larry Dean, that kit replaces the head screws, backplate screws and the carb pinch bolt screw. |
Wow,, very tight fit indeed,, I personally don't like it's fit,, what manifold are you using????
|
Ok well need an engine for my new MBX6
Between RB Concept C6BB L2G Turbo and the RB CONCEPT WS7III L2G .21 Not sure which one to go for i am a smooth racer who likes achiveing long consistant runtimes. So which engine you guys reccomend? and what pipe to match it and to fit it the MBX6 which from above i can see has pipe fitting problems. Thanks Adam |
Go for C6 and 2045/92mm. You will have better runtime with it if you are not spinning your tires all the way which is easy with this combo

Still waiting on that question also Gergely????? It is indeed a very tight fit,,, do I need a different header??? Very nice pipe but it is a very tight fit in my MBX6!!!!!
|
I don't know but I guess it should fit somehow if Savoya can run this car/engine/pipe/mainfold combo. Try to look after some pictures on Neobuggy.

Hey guys i have a RB C6 w/L2G head. I'm wondering what the the stock head shims are??
The manual is a little confusing, i says .2mm (1) and .1mm (2) . If the number inside of these () is a quanity that would add up to .4mm. It also says a total of .3mm. So the 2 figures dont add up. So is stock shimmed at .3mm or .4mm?? |
im new to rb engines what temps does a rb c5 like min and max
