Neal at Clockwork can take a C6/B9/B10 crank and time it the same or better than the C6 USA crank was, and install a tungsten slug. Reno at RB USA got me a new Rody button from France. There's pretty much the C6 USA. Great engine, i love mine.

The original C6USA also comes with the coating on the crank pin to make it wear longer as well. Last year I picked up 1164-14/R which is the Rody tuned crank for the C5 onroad engine, and it's timing is even more aggressive than the USA crank. It was a very fast engine but the tuning gap got quite small with a crank that aggressive.

Howdy Chris. Didn't mention the coating cuz it's not DLC. Mines worn off but pin is .198" everywhere. Thanks for posting that Rody crank p/n. I would like to know actual timing #'s on it before i bought one. I'm sure they're salty. Let me know if you want to part with yours, lol.

Heylo again

Where do the Shark 9/10 fit into the line up. I can see the buggy 10 and buggy 11 being C6 replacements but what about the Shark 9 or shark 10 Guarda editions...

I know they are EXPENSIVE LE editions of some engine just cannot figure out what one

The Shark9 is basically a C6 with 3 ports rather than 5 and it has a balanced crankshaft in it. I really like the smooth power of the Shark9.

The Shark10 is much like the B11 except the Shark10 uses the crankshaft from the C6 engines which is a little more aggressive than the B11 crank. The Shark10 shares the same piston and sleeve with the B11.

I really do not think so, I don't think the crank pin on a NOVA is the same as RB's. I have a buddies +4 at home he wants me to break in for him so I will look after work.

It will not work. RB has .198" crankpin, nova has .196".

So the shark10 is a 5 port now, wish I knew that
If it has the old crank am I right to say it is a high torque version of the B11

Correct, the Shark10 should make a little more power than the B11.

I'm un decided now. My shark9 went on the weekend. Should I get a x10 or a shark9 p/s/r for it.
Or I have a c6 p/s/r will they work in it, if so what should I expect from it?

I want to put it in a buggy

I personally really like how the Shark9 performs in a buggy so I would try to get the P/S/R for the your Shark9 as long as the crank is in good condition. Putting the C6 P/S/R in your shark will probably give you a little more power, but also more fuel consumption, but it should still be smoother than a C6.

Correct, the X10 and X11 use the same P/S/R that the Shark9 used so that will be the stock replacement parts.

If I was to put the c6 p/s/r in with the shark crank, would it get more run time than a stock c6?
I know it will proberly get less run time than a x10
