RB Concept Engine Thread..

The BXR is unlike any offroad engine RB has ever released. RB's offroad engines have never come standard with ceramic bearings or putty in the crank. The Shark9 and C6USA are the only offroad engines to come with Tungsten weights in the crank, and this BXR has all 3. From what I have been told the engine is back to a C6 in many ways with all these upgrades. I would say the C6USA would be the closest to what this engine is.

I too am excited about it and hope to get mine soon. The C6USA was always my favorite engine and I still run one in my truggy as well Ham. If you get a BXR are ya gona have Neal make it extra fast for ya? I'd be curious to see the gains in it and how it compares to the C6USA he did for ya.

Just for shooting-the-shxx's-sake, how should the BXR compare to the new Fire engine? And also, how much better should the new Fire be from the old?
BTW, jeeze the BXR ain't cheap.. I see it is up for sale at a few places here in Germany. €400-ish for the combo...... (€230 for the FII combo..)

When it comes down to it the F11/Fire is an older style onroad engine, it's very aggressive and very fast. Sure it's fast in an offroad car but the powerband of the BXR will be more offroad friendly. As for which is more powerful, I can't say as I don't have my BXR yet. If the BXR puts out power like the C6USA then the BXR will be more powerful than the Fire. The biggest thing is the BXR comes with all of the latest and greatest updates that have been improved over the years.

OK thanks.. So on paper this guy should have me.. Will be a bit hard to tell though as his BXR will be in an MBX6T truggy and my Fire 11 in an RC8.2 buggy.... Oh well, it's part of the fun - seeing how it actually works in real life.. And if he is too fast, I did just send away a Nosram RS.21RR(think Jammin JPX.21) to get modded....
Now we just need the winter to go the hexx away....

To me it looks like the crank is a little different. From the PDF it looks like it does not have the bi-turbo cuts in it like the C6 did, but it has one cut. Will have to wait till I get mine to know for sure.

Good day. I have a RB Worlds S7 that I am running and for some reason, I can't get this thing to stop idling high. I have lowered the idle screw and nothing seems to work. When the engine is cold, it seems to idle low, but, when it comes up to temp, the idle goes up and stays there.
I have had this engine for some time, New front bearing. Engine has less than 1 gallon on the pistion/sleeve. running Odonnell Fuel/Odonnell Glow plug no 99.
I have taken the engine appart, inspected it and all appears fine. Engine was resealed with engine sealant. Carb sealed also. Stills idles high.
At first, I thought there was bubbles in the fuel line a I cleared the bubbles and still idles. Fuel tank was removed and pressure tested for leaks. Non I could find.
Using clear fuel line so, i didn't see any cracks.
Any suggestions??

The B11 Piston and sleeve will work just fine with the F11 case and crank. Altho the performance will not be as good as you are used to from the F11. The B11 sleeve has a much smaller exhaust port and less aggressive timing. It should run faster than a standard B11 as the F11's crank is more aggressive. If it's something you already have and want to try it out to see how you like it you will be fine, and might find you really like the power-band. Last year I tried the F11 crank in my B11 and really liked it!!! If your curious because you want a replacement for the future I would stick with a F11 P/S.

Is your LSN flush? In from flush? Or out from flush? If you take out the venturi how big is the idle gap? that gap you see should be the same thickness of a credit card.
Also, just because your fuel line is clear does not mean you will see a hole or crack. If it has been sitting for a while I would try new line too cause it does kind of sound like an air leak.

Well, I sent my Nosram off to be modded, and it should be here soon. Can't decide which to break in first - the modded Nosram or the Fire 11.. Gonna have a big track day the weekend after this.. So if the weather holds(not looking good..), I'd like to start break-in this weekend..
For both engines I picked up some hot Picco plugs. Was just looking at them though, and they are a good bit shorter than the RB plug that came in the Fire.... Does this matter?

Also, what is the verdict with fuel filters? I usually don't run them, as I just assume they are another potential problem.. These engines are a bit higher end though, so I was wondering if I should take the extra precaution..
